Americans are Poorer. The United States Misery Index Rises Again

At that time Republicans would have more likely used the term Reaganomics... as not to break the "11th commandment". Lol The other term critics liked was voodoo economics. Ah the 80's; what a great time to be young and dumb! :)

Americans are Poorer. The United States Misery Index Rises Again

To be fair, the term "trickle down" is widely agreed to be a disparaging term used by critics of supply side economics. I prefer to be more clinical in a serious and civil discussion. Then again, I can't forget, this is ET! Let the food fight commence!

    The EV transition is real

I think this is true when you compare TSLA to GM, TM, Volkswagen AG, etc. But, that's probably the wrong comparison. TSLA appears to be more akin to LVMH.

    How Institutions trade

It also pays to remember that not all institutions are the same. I've worked at some that are run like the "wild west" and other's that are run like a panopticon. There are always shades of grey.

Are these Toshiba HDD Same ?

They are incredibly similar and you can certainly use a whole slew of drives (even ones that are far more dissimilar). Dell wants more that 2x for the drive because you wouldn't need to ask this sort of question from randos on the interwebs. However, what some manufacturers are now doing is...

    Alternative opinion on Silver Prices

Don't believe everything you read. FFS, the WH is trying to tell us that Jill Biden will make a great president; I didn't even know she was running!?!?!

    The EV transition is real

Ok, I'll take your word for it. A bit of advice though... you're not going to beat people into submission. If you can't convince them with your reasoning just let it go; less stress bruv.

    The EV transition is real

You've taken me out of context, I said it seems like an obvious thing to do. I don't think most people give this kind of thought to their daily driver... they buy something that works and 10-15 years later, when it's falling apart at the seams, they buy another one. More than anything I think...

    The EV transition is real

Yeah, I'm going to buy an EV and just keep a ICE generator running in the trunk.

blessed are they whose way is upright

IMHO "very upright" would be if the journalist realized it was unethical before the interview. It's a much smaller concession after the fact.

blessed are they whose way is upright

OMG, lmfao... one of the interviewers lost their job. This is exactly how Democrat policies help black women. You can't make this shit up! Biden-Harris: making soviet-era state run media apparatchiks proud 4 months before election day; in the home of the free and land of the brave no less. WOW!!!!

    The EV transition is real

If you find a good one let me know... I'm genuinely interested. Until then I will continue to enjoy my new ICE 1.6 turbo DCT that I bought for a mere song and dance [sans subsidies]

    The EV transition is real

That's a simple and straightforward answer, which I greatly appreciate. However, by structural induction, the same argument could then be made about the entire concept of an [PH]EV, no? Which would basically push EV domination further and further out in time. Contra principia negantem non est...

    The EV transition is real

Like many conversations on ET, this one has degraded from a food fight into a shit show. But, I still want to ask a question... why don't EV and PHEV cars have solar panels integrated into the roof and bonnet? It seems like an obvious thing to do and can't bring myself to consider one until I...
