    Trading fulltime retail with $50k

It appears the if a trader deposits $5k or $10k down at some of these smaller Prop firms like Assent or Echo but sometimes get good buying power for intraday, then the only strategy available to trader is too daytrade this amount. Overnight leverage not so good and is :( at anyways. So Mr...

The National Football League-that was the week that was

Let me give "BIG UPS" to the triple AAA on his outlook for the skins/cards game this last weekend. You call it correctly as the skins were not able to pull away. Caught the end of that game as Cards almost won the game on that long last second field goal. Looking forward to next weeks outlook...

I am looking for a firm to start as a prop trader

One could argue that as a "Hedge Fund Trader" this person might make trades that are somewhat risky because if the trade proves profitable the fund makes money and so does manger, IF trade lost say Big Money well it was other investors funds, maybe they will forgive manger this time.

Can you still go prop at Genesis

Looks like Genesis falls under the category of "no frills" Prop firm. Guess they say hey we got great low low commission rates but absolutely no other good reasons for a trader to open an account with them.

Boston Prop - Chimera v. Bright

Never seen too many complaints about Bright Trading regarding the features they offer their traders. Such as fast payouts, high leverage on a traders deposit, quick deposit returns and maybe some good training. Most complaints about Bright Trading on this board seem to infer they charge their...

How much longer should I wait?

Cash money six niner; Just hang in there for two more months profitable month ahead. Losses occurring today consider them to be stock market tuition. Profitability not far away.

Boston Prop - Chimera v. Bright

Its seems at least Prop firm can pay twice a month. Say 15th and 31st. Seems like Prop firm objective is: get traders in here and sign contract then we have their deposit LOCK up for a year and if trader makes money this month we can take out our commish/fees first and next month give trader...

Benchmarq vs. Cy Group vs. JC Trading vs. Guardian

Shocking isn't it: a PROP FIRM that's a little shadily. The only thing I guess, is that some people want to trade so bad they are willing to sign deals that in the end harm themselves.

    World Series Of Poker...who's playing?

Its amazing in watching this years WSOP on espn: every year for like the last 4 or 5 years its completely new people coming up from the pack. In 2007 so far the Harry Potter kid from Italy, Cowboy hat guy and my favorite is King Kong dance guy Henry Khan. In the past it was Steve Daineman...

    JC Trading Group

Good Post "daytrade"on page 9. Put me in the camp of wishing Jeff and JC Group the best. Hoping they continue to provide traders with honest and fair working agreements. Everyone benefits when traders make honest assessment of the firm they are with. If Prop firm treats them good let...

Boston Prop - Chimera v. Bright

[/B] YES !!!!!!! If you sign a contract that said: "monthly payout" meaning all profits (if any) this month (OCT) will be paid out next month (NOV). Usually it's around middle of the next month. Don at Bright Trading apparently provides contracts that call for a weekly payout. This is...

Boston Prop - Chimera v. Bright

Hey scorp question to you: If you had a deal with a Prop firm and you could eliminate one of these two problems (which always seems to appear) chose one. 1. Prop firm holds deposit for a year. 2. Prop firm pays trader his profits on the 20th of next month. I guess if trader is...

Boston Prop - Chimera v. Bright

Bright Trading must be doing something right. Seems they are constantly picking up traders from other firms that are charging lower rates. Maybe overall "perks" offered at Bright Trading, outweigh lower commish rates charged by other firms ??????

    JC Trading Group

Good job scorpion in reminding everyone about 1st time posters making comments about how GREAT a certain firm is. How about these first time posters providing more detail about their trading style. Instead they jump on ET and make a ONE sentence statement. If its a great firm tell us WHY...

    Assent, LLC

At 10 to 1 with $5,000 down gives trader VERY LITTLE room for error. With 50k total buying power this DEAL seems hardly worth it. Especially if trader is getting screw with: 1. Prop firm holding deposit for a year 2. Trader paying penny a share. Think about it 500shs trade at Assent...

    Day trading questions

Hang in there Cash Money six niner. Just look at small amount of money lost today as stock market tuition. Larger amount to be made in the future.

Bright vs. Genesis vs. Tuco vs. xEcho ?

WOW !!!!!!! SHOCKING !!!!!!!!! Even at .004 a share this trader pays $80,000 a year in commish. Difficult for trader to overcome this commish amount and still make a good living?

    Fast Money is GARBAGE

The one thing that most upsets me about CNBC is all the laughing the reporters are constantly doing while on the air. Joe Kernen is the king: It seems after every question he asks (Joe) must laugh or make a stupid comment. Today it was Erin Burnett with the rats and Cramer just laughing...

do prop firms let top traders trade

DAM IT !!!! I hate that when I try to "flame" Bright Trading by saying that their commish rates are very high(compared to others) and then Don turns the tables on me by saying something intelligent. (see quote above) Trader needs to look at "whole package" commish cost and features provided...

do prop firms let top traders trade

Don, you forgot about 100% payout only at Bright Trading. LOL: DAM I hate it when Don misses a chance to "flame" someone. LOL ONLY talking about firms that practice most if not all these deadly sins. 1. Payout until the NEXT month. 2. Hold traders deposit for a year. 3. Provide...
