    S&P 500 looking very toppy

$vix took out June and July highs, reversed, and closed back in its range. SPY took out pretty good support and closed back in its range, pretty bullish candle with a tail. I'll vote for a retest of the top of the range in a few days, as long as I get to change my mind for trading purposes.

    Toby Crabel ORB bubble burst?

A copy sold for $755 on July 30. The seller did a nice job with photos. Two other copies sold in July for $455 and $462. It'll be interesting to watch the end of the two current auctions, since the $755 sale represents a bit of a breakout from the mid 400's consolidation. Could be a head fake...

    Toby Crabel ORB bubble burst?

It's out of print. It has very good work in it, long cited by Linda Bradford Rashcke (sp?) as a big influence on her success. Bit of a cult following. Price probably down because of more people aware of the reprints available from TASC website for $4 an article which cover a lot of the...

    what f*ck just happened

The July 3 incident was caused by a clerk entering an account number (18000) into the quantity field of a broker's online order system. It was a market sell order. It's written up in the current Futures Mag.

    The End of Day Run

Friday was a sideways day until the late breakout. The low was made pretty early, market looked weak, but by the time the late rally started there was already a succession of higher lows. Also look at how the bollinger bands compressed right before two upside breakouts. I'm looking at 3 minute...

    Livermore 1940 First Edition

Acrually the one on alibris.com for $1149 is a 1966 reprint from Traders Press. That price is a joke for that edition. I have no idea what the true first edition will bring. You used to be able to find them for sale. There was a collectible investment bookseller in LA who sold them for about...
