I looked at amibroker awhile back and noticed that they use the dde connection with IB rather than the api. Would this make a difference, I wonder? p.s. I use Quotetracker and have never had any problem opening any number of charts. It is free if you dont mind the ads.

Can you trade bonds on a purely technical basis? Just chart formations, flags, etc. without knowing the fundamentals of the market?

Boredom is part of the game. It is a big problem for some of us. Overtrading or taking marginal trades is the usual outcome. I have solved the problem by only watching at key times of the day. I might be missing some trades but I think overall it is working well for me.

The big advantage to trading over poker is that if youre good at it you can, in most cases, make a lot more money. The way in which they most resemble each other, imo, is that you must learn how to lose and move on in order to succeed.

One of the things I like about trading YM and ES is that if one exchange goes down you can offset your position quite easily on the other.

QT rocks. Went back and forth for a couple of years but have settled into quotetracker. Dont know exactly why but I like it. Support cannot be surpassed by anyone, imo.

One thing that surprises me that I dont see in comments about traders is that theyseem to know everything about everything. :)
