    Tim Sykes dvd's

bwol - i haven't looked at his stuff in months (someone offered me a copy of his new "tim fundamentals", i laughed because the last few dvds he's done - EVEN FREE - have been a waste of time that i can't get back). anyhow - what he does is NOT scalable, and so you can look great with 100...

Reasons for Why you need multiple accounts, multiple IPs, and multiple brokers

OP's first post = ridiculous. come back when you've actually traded some money for years. EDIT: there are reasons for multiple IPS (backup - cable and DSL, and phone) and brokerages. OP doesn't touch on any of the reasons for them. what's happening lately? the number of johnny...

Kevin Haggerty - Comments on PPT & Market Mark Up...

haggerty's trading course is one of the few i've seen which is worth the money for virtually anyone who is not a stone-cold beginner, no other conditions attached. most are of the "well, they teach you the basics of how to put in stops, etc." but haggerty's is amazingly solid.

Why does it seem there so little action now in market?

it IS possible for one to mainly do one (trading) and as a side source, another (vendor). but nihaba's one of the good guys. gives out lots of information with nothing asked in return. which is what i keep having to go back to saying...

Why does it seem there so little action now in market?

nihaba's one of the good guys. he gives back lots, and offers lots of good trading information. you, on the other hand, don't.

    Career Change To Broker's Assistant?

femme - if you're serious, yes,you can get in eventually - but be prepared to do lots of grunt work. also, trading is still much a men's (boys?) club, but it's MUCH better than it used to be. try to get your foot in the door by working in middle office (or if the firm is small enough...

nazz - expect a flood of his signed books to hit ebay today. that's what normally happens when an athlete, celebrity, etc. dies..

Why does it seem there so little action now in market?

puretruth - nihaba doesn't promote his website on here. he gives lots of traders valuable information at no cost, with nothing demanded. he's been doing it for quite a while on here. and you're giving him grief for it? sheesh.

Bob Prechter moves to "aggresive 200% short signal"

i think the OP's point was more that prechter still gets quoted for anything, as he's been wrong more in a day than a stopped clock.

can i have some advice from succesful traders.

stay away with money from others. it can cause aggravation, messing with your head, and added burden and paperwork that you don't need. oh, wait - that's if things are GOOD. if you're losing money, toss in lots of pressure, badgering, and possible loss of family and friends at a time...

    Does gold need a breather?

on a *short-term* basis? yeah, gold needs a pullback. a bunch of days straight up always has some form of stalling - either pullback in price, or a consolidation (in price) taking some time. for longer term? man, it's a beautiful long term setup. disclosure: long GLD for long-term...

What kind of percentage return do you get per day?

% on account...i don't keep track of that anymore. it's of no use to me, and varies so much. if i started with 30k in all my accounts, i could double that. if i started with 3mm in my accounts, it would take me an incredibly long time to double that. so why focus on %? that doesn't...

    Warning: Online Trading Academy (tradingacademy.com)

i've seen some of OTA's videos. they're not helpful to me, but they're not awful either. if you're the kind of person who needs a teacher (not a book / msg board) to learn, the videos are fine. obviously, you need lots of screen time as well, but that's true of any training method...

tigerjaw -here's the link: http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=1329475430&play=1 starts about 4:45 (then 5:24) quick summary, he prefaces it with ending deposit insurance, but done with private insurance companies. liesman: you're familiar with the 30s, when we had runson the bank...

    Ron Paul Economics

i agree with many of the things paul says. i saw the interview this morning. liesman was spot-on with the "run on the banks" - there were runs on the banks long before there was a "fed". i'm surprised (and disappointed) that paul didn't know that.
