Need to handle websocket data for 10,000 symbols.

Yes it is working fine now, but remember, as I previously stated: a) I am now using the NATS interface, not WebSockets; and b) I don't know if there is a NATS interface for historical data.

Need to handle websocket data for 10,000 symbols.

Sorry I didn't record the error code, and I have totally replaced the WebSocket code with NATS so I have no way to retest.

Andrew Cuomo Speaks With Jeff Bezos, Furiously Trying to Win Back Amazon

I am not sure how that would have helped. Amazon's NYC headquarters would not have been in AOC's congressional district.

Need to handle websocket data for 10,000 symbols.

I use Polygon.io, but for realtime quotes, not historical data. During my development I noticed that after about 1000 symbols were being monitored, the websocket would close. So I switched to the NATS interface instead of websocket, and all socket problems disappeared. I do not know if there...

Some clear thinking about Amazon’s ‘shocking’ tax incentives

If you read my post again, you will see that I was for the deal. What I was against was the article that the OP posted. BTW I am not even a resident of NY state, much less Queens.

Some clear thinking about Amazon’s ‘shocking’ tax incentives

While I believe that NYC should have welcomed Amazon, I think this is a lousy article. Extremely one-sided, failed to mention a single legitimate reason why NYC walked away, and insulted any New Yorker who was against the deal.

    IB close prices for fri

It may not be IB's fault. On Friday evening I downloaded the close prices from equity close prices from IQFeed at 6PM, and they were still showing Thursday close prices. I reran at 8PM and they were reflecting Friday's close prices.

    Bad Catalyst: If Trump Impeached

Impeachment does not mean removal from office. It is just an acknowledgement that the president has done illegal acts. Clinton was impeached, yet served his full term. Impeachment only requires 50% + 1 member of the House to pass, and the Democrats have that. Removal from office requires 67%...

NxCore data feed on QUODD is unusable

Polygon.io looks very promising for stocks. They claim to handle 24,000 stocks vs IQFeed's 2,500 limit. I just signed up for a 7 day trial, and within an hour was able to programmatically fetch most non-realtime equities data (historical prices, dividends, fundamentals). A very simple, modern...

NxCore data feed on QUODD is unusable

Yes. IQFeed supplies the last 2 split dates and split ratios. I don't need them to adjust the data for dividends. I just need the ex-dividend dates and amounts.

NxCore data feed on QUODD is unusable

I should have mentioned that prior to using NxCore, my system used IQFeed, so it required only a quick configuration change to go back to using IQFeed. Yes it is a big job to switch streaming quote vendors. It took me 3 months, coding part-time while trading, to add the NxCore API to my system...

NxCore data feed on QUODD is unusable

I have been using DTN's NxCore for 4 years, withouteven one day of problems. 2 weeks ago QUODD told me that 11/30/2018 would be the last day I could use the DTN NxCore. I tried the QUODD NxCore for two weeks on my test system. Nothing but problems. Besides the missing Dividends and Splits...

I make 100% roi on a 100k portfolio every year.

Assuming everything you say is true, there will be fewer opportunities in the future to take advantage of this strategy. Several states, including California and New Jersey, have gotten rid of all cash bail in the past two years, and every other state is considering it. Why? Analysis show that...

Bogle Sounds a Warning on Index Funds

I don't see how. The funds themselves don't have voting power. The individual shareholders of the fund still retain their votes. However, the funds can cause dramatic changes to the prices of individual stocks by dropping/adding a company to the fund.

    Curb your enthusiasm.

Because they can make far more from the hedge funds than they could trading their own money. In bad years they make their 2% from fees, and in good years they make 2% + 20% of profits. CALPERS, the California Pension system, pulled their money out of all hedge funds when they discovered that...
