    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Isn't 2389 circuit breaker down for ES though? Just making sure you're aware / I am not misunderstanding.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Guys since there's some down time now, just want to ask a question if I may. I do not consider myself an elite trader only semi-elite. Am I still eligible to post on these forums?

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

It's tough using anything that someone else does and trying to duplicate it, there's often a lot of nuances involved in reading indicators and trade styles, it isn't always as simple as two lines crossing just from a purely mathematical stance. Also, there's often context from other...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

I just read his post like he's playing a roll and trying to be over the top mean to add an element of humor to his information. Not sure if that makes sense or I could be totally off, that's just how I choose to perceive it. Or maybe he's just burnt out on people in general, so he just gives...

Why are the Japanese day traders so rich?

EDIT: Never mind I withdraw my post (if someone has already quoted and responded, I'll respond).

Hey man, why do you need to analyze a every scenario 100 times per second? Let me ask you a question for a change (that will answer my question and potentially yours) Which one do you think is the most likely scenario. You can choose "A" or "B" Scenario A: People moving large...

What is Your Take on the Announcement Effect with Unemployment #s?

My thoughts would be a lot of people are bearish and a lot of people are short. Trading generally speaking isn't just as easy as pressing a button and than printing money. If a lot of people are short others will take the opposite side of that to force some out even if only temporary. In...

A Hedge Fund CEO Bragged About Not Taking Management Fees.

Yes, you're correct particularly at the bigger levels. On the lower levels though it's more common to sometimes find a 50/50 split (or something close to that). Also, a lot of investors aren't aware of the different ways to do things because of the industry standards. People who...

A Hedge Fund CEO Bragged About Not Taking Management Fees.

Two different things. Seriously why would you want someone trading your money who is charging you management fee's? It's just like people who manage retirement accounts, if it goes up they get a fee, if it goes down they get a fee. They have no real incentive to actually make money...

No you're missing the point of TA. YOU NEED to have an effective way to measure the underlining strength of the asset you're trading. Fundamentals may effect that, but they do not effect how you trade it. If the stock is weak based upon whatever you're using to measure strength vs...

This coronavirus volatility has got me thinking...

It's rare fundamentals ever matter(particularly speaking of intra-day trading). The situation is so extreme currently, that this is one of the cases where most traders need to be aware of the fundamentals that is true. But even in this case there are still plenty of long setups to be had...

People that move larger sums of money aren't just randomly buying or selling. if someone is moving large sums of money, they can't just press buy or press sell on their entire position, because the movement in and of itself could price them out of the trade or they could fail to get the net...

This coronavirus volatility has got me thinking...

Yes, it's very difficult to learn all the nuances and to actually learn what indicators to use together. Also, sometime's even back testing strategies that look good, when you move them to live they actually don't work as intended and the results can be different (for a multitude of factors)...

This coronavirus volatility has got me thinking...

Fair enough. It's not easy and it just isn't about two lines crossing you are right. Just think about the logic though, of course two lines crossing if you take every single one you're unlikely to be successful, I mean really of course it isn't that easy. We can agree on that. Now if...

Wouldn't you have to understand what technical's are before you know they don't matter? And I know you don't know much about technical's, because even something as basic as two EMA's on your chart would clearly show sellers are more in control than buyers on a larger time frame (was more...

Vix over 60 10 days in a Row. Before now we haven't seen the vix over 60 more than 3-5 times ever

Well, I would love to be proven wrong, but one would think think it's a little too late to stop any of the negative effects or consequences now, simply by stopping over consumption and not taking on massive debt. It's like setting your house on fire and than when it's 80% burned down, saying...

    Traders That Beat The System.

I get that you're already saying that doesn't make sense, but I am just agreeing with you. Losing years is amazingly bad(particularly if we're talking about greatest individual traders). There's traders who make 20% a month and rarely have losing days, much less years.
