    Should we self-insure?

m22au, Yeah, kind of makes sense... I'll have to work on that... P.S: LOL are you a 22-year old male Australian? :D

    UK Scalpers

It's all a matter of perspective I guess... But for the 25 cars average - I can't befriend myself with that. Why? 1) Why would one want to trade 25 cars a click to only make E 2500/day? That would be E 100 or 4pts DAX per contract per day. Would you be happy with that? I certainly...

    UK Scalpers

OK, You don't believe in scalping on a PC, but it sure can be done! What's wrong with scalping on a PC? Bandwidth? Exchange ping? I have a 1.5 Mbps dedicated always-on line that delivers at a super-fast ping. I can get in & out faster than any trader in the pit ever could with the wave of a...

    Should we self-insure?

Hey Cutten, Thanks a lot, this does make perfect sense. Yes, indeed, in no business can you default to your creditor because of a debtor's default... LOL (be nice if so...) However, I never thought as everybody in the trading business chain being "indebted" to each other, rather thought...

    Should we self-insure?

Sounds fair enough though, doesn't it?

    Should we self-insure?

Great post, Cutten. But are you serious about your broker being liable for your loss? Brokers go out of their way to roll all liabilities off to you. How could your broker be liable for your own trading loss? This just doesn't seem to make sense to me.

    Should we self-insure?

This is a totalitarian and arrogant statement, and I disagree! How dare you call anybody who differs on your point of view an "idiot"?  Here is my point of view: I don't believe in luck as a justification for anything. I extract a very good living from the market every day...

    FastTrader Futures-Trading Journal

Yeah. You were. And I still stand to my point that it could be rather dangerous for a beginner! :p :D There are many reasons why I think DAX is better, though. There's too little volatility and too large tick size in the ES to get that much out of it. ES these days is like trying to watch...

    Should we self-insure?

TGregg, professional traders can hedge themselves with protective options positions, such as puts, for the worst-case scenario. Some always do this, others just in the more uncertain times. Yes, it costs money, but it's a good insurance against death. A trader friend of mine from the UK was...

do you believe "Scientist" has "over $100k" in his trading account?

ROFL! That is hilarious! :D So, perhaps you borrow money from Bob the builder, and then you lend your money to Donald Trump. Does indirectly imply that Donald Trump wouldn't be anything without Bob the builder? What an irony. Another image of prosperity in shatters...

The Ultimate DAX Scalping Discussion Thread!

How very true, all of this... I know that myself I am guilty of ALL of these problems... Not enough exercise, not enough good food, not enough rest, too much trading (3:00 EST - 14:00 EST = 11h a day), and just not enough recreation or holidays. I've been a complete worcaholic for about...

The Ultimate DAX Scalping Discussion Thread!

Captain... Probability Warship decloaking starboard, sir! I'm not too sure about this... LOL This might rightly apply in the larger timeframes, but in the smallest fractals (scalping for ticks or a few points) it doesn't really. It isn't only "a statistical exuberance on the far right side of...

    Wizetrade...these audio/videos say it all ;-)

$100/mo for the data on top of that? You get any decent feed for that! Is it possible, if I change my mind, to exchange the $4K for a Bloomberg Terminal, T1 line & X_Trader? Yah... right... :p

    Wizetrade...these audio/videos say it all ;-)

Are you serious about this? Why would anybody pay $5K for an MA XO system which you can code on $30-a-month platform in about 10 minutes? Not to mention, MA crossover systems are hardly profitable, because MA's are all badly lagging. This really must be one of either: 1) A...

    Wizetrade...these audio/videos say it all ;-)

Oiiiink! :D In a way, this just completely puzzles me. For the first time in a long time, the US Economy, at least under the shiny Lacquer, is completely f*cked. Not only has Bush managed to create enormous war expenses, increase debt, cut of important trade agreements and increase generally...

do you believe "Scientist" has "over $100k" in his trading account?

Here you go. This is what started FPC & GG's entire Jihad against me, which in storm seems to have taken at least 10 people (mostly trolls) on ET. They have turned their backs to me because of all this bullshit slander Not my real friends, though. They remain, they know me better. Here's...

LongShot: :p AAAH HAHAHHA! WAAA !!!:p :p :p :p :p This is the most absurd thing I've laughed about in a while... Who are we talking here? Mr "My Dodge Viper kicks the shit out of Scientist's rice rocket"? LMFAO! We still haven't seen your Dodge Viper, FasterPussycat. Where is it? All we got...
