Bull Trapping Part II or Sell the Bounce

Well we didn't get much of a rout. In fact Vix has done a rollercoaster to a multi-year high in May/June 06' back to the bees buzzing and birds-chirping nothing but blue skies ahead. Is there any coincidence that oil is dropping, gold is dropping, bonds are on a roll, interest rates have...

    Comments on INTC?

Nice summary!!! All the reasons in one chart as to why selling $20 calls into Labor Day was a low risk easy way to add income if you were long INTC stock. Good Luck!!!

    Comments on INTC?

A couple of upgrades. When this bear is over INTC may be a good long-term hold. You can always sell calls against it to add income. ______________________________ FWIW It maybe time to sell some calls into Labor Day. Cost basis @ 17 currently.

Bull Trapping Part II or Sell the Bounce

Is this market levitating on rampant negativity without further sellers around or is it being massaged by, you know --- "them?"

    Does trading wear you out?

If I do both the am and afternoon session it can get especially tiring, especially if required to perform the "money shot." After I blow my wad I like to take a nap.

Bull Trapping Part II or Sell the Bounce

I must say I believe a few have been befuddled here as to the recent run so I guess I'm not alone when looking at excerpts from "The Capital Speculator" August 18, 2006 SUMMER HAZE In a perfect world, the writing on the economic wall would be clear and concise. But as any student of the...

Bull Trapping Part II or Sell the Bounce

It's been awhile since the market has paused on its way up but this afternoon the market looked suspiciously as if another intermediate top may be in place. Earnings have been good and the feds paused but we still haven't had a significant correction for several years now. A cinderella...

    On "gaps"

Gap down. Good gap research is great but you end up with too many catagories. Gap up, down Gap up, down and plus/minus 2, 4, 6, 8 ,10, 10+ points Gap up, down the day after a greater than 1% move Gap up, down after a full moon etc. What I believe becomes apparent is certain...

    On "gaps"

"Interday gaps" may trap buyers or sellers setting up easy squeezes. Gap borders OHLC define stops and targets for traders. Lots of gaposis lately as the enclosed chart illustrates

    On "gaps"

I suppose that's why trading gaps can be profitable as a "market inefficiency" is created. Thanks for the stats.:p

    On "gaps"

With regard to gaps as in much of life the bigger the gap the less likely it is to fill (at least for that day) I love filling gaps but that's a story for a different time.

    anyone else notice this bullshit?

A few weeks ago I day-traded some equities instead of my usual swing trade or futures. I had a limit order absolutely perfectly positioned and price touched but didn't traded through. I should have had a few thousand shares and the trade was or would have been very profitable. I downloaded...

Bull Trapping Part II or Sell the Bounce

Today's action certainly threw some cold water on the bulls. Big gap on Cisco's earnings. Big gaps were running on the way up during the short squeeze countertrend rally and now they're getting sold off. If we break current support levels we'll most likely test June's lows again.

Bull Trapping Part II or Sell the Bounce

Well this is barely a bear. We need a break and run to 1175 in SPOOS by end of year.
