Took a tough loser today going into the close

So, let me get this straight, you fucked up and accidentally went short when you meant to go long in an index that was displaying bullish momentum. You took a quick 1.5 point hit, and this caused you so much emotional pain that you had to start a thread. Who sounds like the 3G retail trader now?

You might want to unequivocally check with your broker, 'cause mine says CME Globex re-opens @ 3:30 C.S.T.

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

Well, when I see only a small amount of contracts traded at what was then the bottom tick of the day, and a guy who had previously posted he had an order to buy 1 tick below the low tick of the day, and then claims to have purchased at the low tick, I get curious. Asking two simple questions...

You say the bulk of your order was filled @ 1490.50. Are you also saying some of your order was also filled @ 1490.25? Also, your earlier post said you had orders @ 1490-1487. Obviously, 1490.25 is not 1490. So, why would you have a MIT order @ 1490.25? Thanks.

Only 36 contracts traded at 1490.25. How were you able to buy contracts at that level?

Ron Paul on the Dollar Problem

Of course life is great, for those who treated their house like an ATM machine, and who never saw a credit card they did not like. It's great right up to the time they can't pay back the money; they lose the house, and they wind up in bankruptcy court. P.S. I just made another internet...

Black Friday Surprise equivalent to a surprise Fed cut?

By Cotten Timberlake and Tiffany Kary Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. consumers spent 3.5 percent less during the post-Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend than a year earlier as retailers slashed prices to lure customers grappling with higher food and energy costs. Shoppers spent an average of...

Brokers that offer the TransAct platform

Well, I'll bet you won't get the $3.42/RT for ES that Transact offers, if you go through another broker. Which way to go of course depends on how many R/T you do per month, and the commission differential.

Banks Said to Agree on Credit Backup Fund: N.Y. Times

Why would an entity need to unload top tier AAA debt? And, why would they have to resort to the Super Fund in order to sell it?

MSFT paid $240m for Facebook stake

Yeah, and Ebay wouldn't have paid 2.6B for Skype if it wasn't worth the money. Ooops, well, what's a 1.4B write-off amongst friends any way? Oh, and let's not forget AOL Time Warner's 54B write-off of its merger with AOL. Corporations fuck-up investments all the time. MSFT is no different.
