Will you stay with Cyber/Schwab if they only offer per trade pricing?

You guys are concerned about the platform? They could give you back CT Pro and you would still get killed by UBSS. Schwab should let you trade for free, with UBSS they will still clean up. Ameritrade is a better deal lol.

studying in cuba - bad for CV ?

I agree with the above. You will be competing with people coming out of top schools. Harvard, Yale or Princeton may not be any better than NY City college, but the perception is that they are. Going to Harvard, Yale or Princeton is the ticket to the good life, don't kid yourselves. London...

Peru free trade agreement (H.R. 3688)

Free trade is based on the idea of nations producing what they do better than anyone else. That way, the whole world benefits. Go read the original thesis, nowhere does it say Wall St. funds expansion of foreign economies, and then ships our factories overseas. We are supposed to be producing...

    Chinese Drug Development

I live in NJ, the major US base for the drug companies. They have been announcing layoffs and are in fact just shipping the jobs overseas. We are talking about R&D jobs.

Automated Trading Seen Dominating Futures Markets by 2010

Um, just a side note. If you look on careerbuilder, the only trading jobs being advertised are for quants and Ph.D. programmers. All of it is geared towards short term, high frequency futures trading. So anyone holding for more than a day should be fine. But how many futures traders are...

HELP!! Is there a alternitive to No-Signal? (e-signal)

I agree Quotetracker/IQfeed is what I use, however, I pay $74 a month for the basic service & emini data. But, the only time it slows down is when the market gets extremely busy, like once a month for 20 seconds. The rest of the time it is less than a second off of my Trading Technologies feed.

    USD situation getting serious

Dollar is eroding faster than expected. I saw a analyst the other day say that 1.45 was a threshold level that could be pierced by end of year. If it doesn't hold 1.45, it could plummet, as this level could cause a run. The dollar is at 145.58.

Will you stay with Cyber/Schwab if they only offer per trade pricing?

Yeah, and it shows what rotten bastards these MM firms are. 99.9% of all orders are non-directed. So, they are going through all this to get rid of the .1% who might have a chance of making some money. CT and Schwab don't appear to be as active advertising here any more either. Even this...

Will you stay with Cyber/Schwab if they only offer per trade pricing?

I traded stocks with CT until last year. My experience was the same. When you wanted to sell, UBSS would hold your order and drop the bid just for a moment, fill you at the low, and the stock would bounce right back. I set the software up to only execute on ECN's. So now, they are doing...

I need a new computer to run Tradestation

I think 2GB of RAM should be plenty for running Tradestation. If you need more, buy it from Newegg, etc. It's easy to install, you can find instructions on the web. That computer sounds plenty strong, the E6750 might be a good idea looking forward a couple of years or if you also want to run...
