    Bullish Percent Index ($BPXXXXXX)

The Bullish Percent indicators are Stockcharts proprietary indicators. The indicator is the % of stocks in a sample which shows a bullish point and figure chart, and I think what they consider bullish p&f may not be standard. Not sure.

Russell 3000 Points down: 90.9% Volume down: 88.8% Another big day from the Lowry point of view, and following 9/3, a confirming piece of date that a new leg of the Bear is upon us. I was away on vacation 9/3 so I did not run the numbers.

i don't think the markets are random, i think they're like this...

Forget it Gekko. Don't think too much after hitting the bong or the sauce. It really is simple. The market goes up, or down, or does not do much of anything. The indicators won't tell you what it is doing until it a move is is pretty well on its way, but price will. Follow price until it...

    November elections could trigger bull

Relieving double taxation of dividends and/or lowering capital gains taxes (both of which I philosophically favor) would create burdens elsewhere in the federal tax and finance system, in the form of either other compensatory taxes or greater public debt,or a combination of both. The tax rolls...

    Wordon TC2000

Its a very good program for scrolling through charts. You can develop stock lists and you can write your own scans as well. The canned groupings are useful as well. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Telechart2000_Users/ For scans, aka PCFs, http://208.240.253.153/tradeon/tc2000/

    Jeff Cooper 5-Day on Steroids

momo days are long gone. But the principle is to find a trending stock, long or short, wait for a pullback, and enter upon the resumption of the trend. The 5 day thing is just juice for sales(of his method)

But you turned into a slow kitty, judging by how the "ways and plays" journal got cancelled so early into the season.

Your favourite Elite Trader & favourite Post

I like many posters here and would not want to make a list for fear of leaving anyone out. Except for one, myself, I always revel (or cringe) at my own posts, especially my journal.

    True Legendary Trading Stories

You can short the opening day. The 30 day rule was a myth perpetrated by the brokerages to inflate IPO stock values quickly.

    True Legendary Trading Stories

December 1999, A trader I knew shorted an IPO, 8K share, I can't remember which stock it was. But the stock went quickly 90 points against him in a matter of days and he was down 700K. He sat tight and covered months later for a profit. At about the same time, a daytrader at Andover, a guy...
