    No top yet

I have a question for you and all you top callers. Are you still shorting everytime you are making these calls? Cause it is starting to sound like everytime the market moves higher, more and more tops are called. As the previous top call is proven wrong, you all come back with even more...

Record Number of U.S. Jobless Seen Losing Benefits

Do you want the government to hold the workers hand also and do their work for them? Or when they start complaining that they want higher wages to buy the new plasma screen, the government should go talk to the CEOs and force raised pay? At the most, the government can provide tax incentives...

Record Number of U.S. Jobless Seen Losing Benefits

No it's not even close to the Great Depression as already explained. The current growing unemployment is due to a bubble burst, outsourcing and cost cutting. What in the world do you expect Bush to do about it? I mean what has he ever do to cause it? Outsourcing = globalization + high...

Is this a selling gift S&P?

This is a good thread and many good points were mentioned. Overall I would go with iceman. I do not see enough reward to be taking the risk that trade-ya1 is taking. Just how much do you expect the S&P to drop? If you are hoping for a crash, well thats very doubtful.

So what is the depth of the bubble?

I agree. Fundamentals, even if flawed, are a strong consideration in this market. Also, there are more than enough pessimist critics that try to do their best to hold prices down. You gotta wait till mom & pop start rallying this market before you call a bubble.

    Better Paper: WSJ or IBD?

LOL WSJ is for sheeps. If you need WSJ to help you explain stock moves, you need some serious luck as well to make any money trading. The mass marketing cheap volume production of WSJ should be enough of a tip off to stay away from it if you expect to make any money trading.

So what is the depth of the bubble?

I've mentioned the consumer debt issue so many damn times. But even according to your chart, it just keeps growing and growing. One would think that after 1987, consumer debt would have experienced a correction. Another interesting observation is that even during 99-00, when interest rates...

The S&P has topped at 1150

Hopefully James Crock will be a no show here as well. But, 20 bucks says he comes back with some BS excuse about some serious emergency that made the bet insignificant. Takers?

Record Number of U.S. Jobless Seen Losing Benefits

Oh come on now. I mean we are lucky enough to even be given 1600 a month by the state for 6 months. Nowdays, you get a year easy without even any serious checking. I know cause I was on unemployment for almost 9 months. They extended my benefits automatically and I only had to go in for one...

Now that may actually be a good thing. :D

Nyse Changes.......how Will They Affect Us?

Well I really doubt there are gonna be many of these NYSE mook scalpers whacking away 10k shares. The specialist will destroy those and make sure they never come back again. It's still happens anyway when the specialist matches market orders vs the offer and fills them in one shot.

Nyse Changes.......how Will They Affect Us?

Maybe. Or maybe they will let the idiots NX and churn themselves to death and just stand aside. They pretty much do that now anyway.

Nyse Changes.......how Will They Affect Us?

I mean whatever, it's not gonna affect me much but I can just see what the idiot mook NYSE traders are gonna do. At least before, they were required to wait 30 secs now they are gonna be NXing left and right every 5 secs. There are the same idiots that probably think this new rule change is...

Nyse Changes.......how Will They Affect Us?

Great, nothing like idiot NYSE traders Nxing non stop back and forth for no particular reason. The whole NX thing is not even a good thing.

seems like the short everybody has been

Trying to catch the precise top or bottom is a sure way to lose lots of money. I've learned this the hard way, hence I rarely attempt to catch either. Yet, nevertheless, there are numerous traders still attempting to do this day in and day out. Great, more money for me. This is what...

Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money

Read that about a year ago along with the book. Once again, John Treed focuses on minute details with a lot of nitpicking. He completely refuses to take a big general look at the book. Kyosaki never stated that everyone should do real estate. It's just something he is familiar with. I...
