think or swim is a great place to trade - that is where I have been trading one of my IRA's for the last 2 years - the rates are great and the service even better

whatever you do - If your strategy will be an intra-day strategy then I would not use tradestation - because even if you figure out a good strategy - their data leaves a lot to be desired. And you need good data to test on

its kinda sad when you think about it - bacuase a year ago - TradeMaven with the transact datafeed was the best way to go - let us see if the mann data feed with trademaven will be any good - I have that Mann uses pats as there data feed - is that correct ?

no probelm - thanx for the feedback - and I aslo agree with you about open acry - I traded with them a little while ago, before going to transact and their datafeed is indeed slow -

transeact used to give great customer service - I had problems with Trademaven and transact today - anyone have problems using the transact software itself

I suspect that Trademaven is phasing out their co-operation with other brokers

you started this thread by saying that your wrote the trading program in easy language (tradestation) - I hope (if you are trading intrday) you are not using tradestation data - for if you are - you might have a very good program being tested on very bad data

murray - while you are replenishing good and nice ideas - your cd is long on winding talk but very short on real conclusive content

when you backtest, the most important this for you will be the data you use - and tradestation is surely not the way to go - the data has a lot to be desired

etrade is great on sales but lousy on everything else - and they DO change their fee schedule from time to time (without much warning) M<y husband had no FEE IRA's there - and puff - they charged fees

they have plenty of testimonials and of this date no physical corporate address on their website - they look like scam artists to me

to the extent you have a bias is to the extend you will get not have proper money management and get clobbered

well - is it real good ?
