How do you chart your spot fx

Contrary to popular belief, the Forex market never really stops. Even during the weekend, banks and other financial institutions, as well as a few high net worth individuals (think Gordon Gekko for instance) continue to issue buy/sell orders between themselves. "Money never sleeps, pal. I...

    Trading -AUD/USD

Too bad you did not stick with that long CAD/JPY trade TradingJournals, 93.80 was indeed the low of the entire daily range, so your initial assessment was dead right on the money! Personally I lost 26 pips on that trade. Oh well, for me it's just another freaking trade, neeeeeext!

    Trading -AUD/USD

Good decision. Concerning the CAD/JPY I have a pending short order at 94.07. I really, REALLY do not like this freaking currency pair (it brings back a lot of bad memories...) but hey, a trading signal is a trading signal.

    Trading -AUD/USD

Wow, you've got guts TradingJournals, even James Bond would not dare to buy the EUR/USD at this moment :p But everything is still possible, and most of the time the market reverses its direction between 2 AM and 5 AM (New York time), so...

    Trading -AUD/USD

When a trend is in place and the market is going my way in a big way, I simply put a simple moving average (MA) on the chart and if two consecutive bars close completely above that MA (or below for long positions) I exit the position, simple as that. This is by far the best way to ride a...

There seems to be some support around the 93.80 area but I prefer to wait for confirmation. What are your target and stop in that particular case?

    Looking for "edge" ideas...

Wrong. If you day-trade on the 5-min charts for example, 1 single day of data has more bars than an entire year of daily bars. What's important is the number of bars you use in your backtest, not the number of years. And what's even more important is the number of trades the system...
