    Seeking a Mentor

Options trading is not good for everyone. I started doing institutional options structuring and trading in 1990s. But I still do not want to trade options for my personal accounts. For newbies, there are options theory behind it. There are also multi dimensions with vega added. I'm not...

Crypto civil war: Elon vs. Bitcoiners

Elon was probably neglected by his parents when he was little. So he sensed his attention deficit. So he has been working really hard on getting attention. If people do not pay him much attention, then his things will just die down.....

Crypto civil war: Elon vs. Bitcoiners

That was the question I asked before. Of course people care, or wonder, or watch to see what is unfolding.

Crypto civil war: Elon vs. Bitcoiners

If someone is a cult and idol figure as opposed to an idiot, then it becomes very interesting. So many personalities in one person. What our Ms. Cathie Wood has to say about Elon?

Cathie Woods, Ark etf now called Bark etf- its a dog

You guys made such a big thing of female vs male. Media sure likes to present some females. Because females are under-represented for various reasons. As for Ms. Wood, I do not admire her. The way she talks, the way she hypes her stocks and the way she wants to buy more losers. There...

IB Friend & Family Advisor Fees

@Butterfly I've had enough of your opinion. You missed the entire point and kept repeating the same thing. No need for your opinion.... Not helpful at all. We move on. Like to get some DPs from others....

IB Friend & Family Advisor Fees

You kept missing my point. Regulation is not what I'm asking. I'm just curious as to if this is perfectly legal to take fees from spouse's accounts, particularly from the IRA account(s). Technically you can take fees from your own accounts into master (advisor) account.

These last few days are a breath of fresh air to me...

The problem is that Cathie is near retirement age. She probably won't see another 10 years from now, at her job. Also, her actual time (or money) weighted return is negative now. Most of the investors who sunk billions into her ETFs recently never see any green. The question is, when those...

These last few days are a breath of fresh air to me...

@Cabin111 Wish you the best luck to hold those "value" stocks. Most of them turned from "growth" to "value" now since they are printed in different color now... This is how our beloved Cathie Wood is doing. Holding onto the illiquid "disruptive value" stocks, and unload the blue-chip...

IB Friend & Family Advisor Fees

No. Why State cares how you "fit" to manage your family money?? Or one or two of your friend's money?

IB Friend & Family Advisor Fees

This is from IB: Account Information Only Advisors who are exempt from registration are eligible to open a Friends & Family account. Generally, most jurisdictions require that an advisor have 15 or fewer clients in order to qualify for exemption from registration. Registration requirements can...

IB Friend & Family Advisor Fees

A lot of states have min asset size rule. Most of IB F&F advisors are not registered. If you manage the IRAs of your spouse and adult children, and of very limited size, registration is not required.

IB Friend & Family Advisor Fees

Not sure if this has been discussed before. IB offers Friend & Family advisor setup. We can put both taxable and non-taxable account from self, family and friends all under advisor (trader) control. The F&F advisor can earn advisor fees, similar to hedge fund structure if the advisor desires...
