    USA Economy is strong ?

What is the methadology behind your statement? And, why is gold better than the various economic stats from the govt? DS ps-I thought that gold is up due in part to the Russian CB buying heavily.

    TradeStation Cost?

Which exchange fees? If you have AMEX, NASDAQ, and NYSE with level 2 on the Naz, costs are $12/month with Tradestation and $20/month with IB. So for this package, IB is more expensive. Also, TS makes available a large historic data base while IB offers only the current quote. So, I...

Did JJC *Jim James Cramer* have a falling out with some of CNBC staff?

Cramer reminds me of the lead character, Howard Beale in the great movie, NETWORK that won if I remember 5 Academy Awards. DS

I was watching KNDL also and saw it pass the lower band DUV at the 1140 est bar, on a 10 min chart, a couple minutes late, while MACD and Stochastics were above trade plan levels. I did not trade it. I'm using Tradestation and their data. DS

I also saw the move up on high volume yesterday near the close and think you may be on to something. Also, there seems to be a "bear" strategy: If all those following JH's rules to the letter jump in at the same time, then it seems if you get in early as you suggested, you should do well...

Short interest ratio, sometimes expressed as shares short/float. Data for this is infrequent, buy the source I use has BOOM at around 50%. For the stocks I'm watching today I have: BOOM 53% KNDL 2% NGPS 4% PETS 10% DS

IMO-one of Jack's principals is to generate a following (note how he says he uses "full service" brokers, who if they find someone who is good, tend to piggyback trades on theis individual). That reinforces the method that IMO is already sound by creating a positive feedback loop. Doug

You make a good point, but on the other hand, in my brief time using this method, I don't recall any stock that passed the RS/EPS screen having a float>60MM. And Spyder's comments on why Jack set a lower limit to prevent getting into stocks subject to manipulation cleared up that point for...

Thanks. I'm having trouble accessing the MSN site docs. For some strange reason, when I click on some of them they crash my IE6.0. So as a result I'm not able to read all of them. I recently got Firefox and will start using it; but this IE problem has prevented me from seeing all the...

One of the extra things I'm doing is watching JH stocks that also have a high short interest ratio (SIR) defined as shares short/float. BOOM has an unusually high SIR, about half its float. Sometimes these stocks really pop if a short covering rally gets going as the shorts get scared and...

Spydertrader, A couple of questions: {I'm not done reading everything, but getting there. It seems like I keep finding more in what I read and more to read.} 1. I'm not clear why the 200k per day 65 day average volume requirement. I think I've seen references that 100k is good also...

    Oil Price Projections...2010 $45

fwiw- The 2002 forecast said that oil prices would "rise steadily to $29 in 2030." It also said that in 2005 oil would be at $21. Maybe Arch Crawford knows someone in his field that could have gotten a little closer. DS
