Why are big banks cutting trading jobs in the current very long bull market?

I was ashamed of making serious coin out of these donkeys in the last recession- they are disposable chancers, and it's only the influx of new money that keeps them afloat. None of them can trade their own accounts like I do.

Why are big banks cutting trading jobs in the current very long bull market?

I'm rich- no mortgage, I can buy anything I want and I don't work for a banker who faces serious jail time-think about that -they are BS merchants whose only talent is scamming money out of dumb people -but the outflows are getting bigger as Goldmine sucks and Dodgy bank are found out.

bank margins increased- Plus they find new ways to fleece the vulnerable -it's about alog trading -or 'buying' as we call it! These idiots have not know a bear market, and they won't know it when it hits them either-same old story

Arbitrage option trading does it really exsist?

never found any arbs as a retail player - ok a few pennies here and there but trading 0nly 10-20 lots it's not worth the aggravation- certainly never found a box that could be arb'd

Question for Options experts - how would you trade this scenario?

With such high IV this IC is likely to fail I'd say and the stock will move big. ICs are yesterday's trade IMHO. Your strikes were 5% OTM- but now the stock is $234 having moved....5% in one day. For the avoidance of doubt this is an iron condor, not a condor (which consists of only puts or...

    Trading with/without a mentor?

I would not ask for fees but would be happy to spend some time with a mentee but in the UK have not found any interested as the account size here needs to be about £100k apart from IB, and options data is utter rubbish. Much better to trade the US- but cannot seem to drag myself into that arena

    Options vs Forex

Idiots because it is luck not judgement, and they don't understand randomness 2. I'm an idiot and sometimes the trades don't generate enough in profits -though backtesting 2017,when premiums were terrible it still made 50%. I stopped trading end Jan due to Brexit until those muppets moved it...

    Options vs Forex

Forex is just guessing random moves of a wiggly line. No brains required-in fact there are some idiots who make money with forex. Options can be complicated or simple- like buying a call if you think the underlying is going up.You can posiiton for level up or down market. Most algo's in forex...

Ok I have posted real trades every flippin' week. Nobody cares as retail traders are mostly lazy. http://optionsinvesting.co.uk/trade-137-week-ending-21june/ We cannot know the OTC trades but options are the prime movers of markets. I only know the UK but if I was in the US I'd be seriously...

    Market Irrationality

Markets cannot by definition be 'rational' as there'd be no order flow-it is just a bunch of opinions, unlike other commerce- selling cars etc. It's complicated but you can be both right and wrong long and short and make money

Trouble Choosing Between Futures and Options

Never heard of that- naked put sellers will only have one, then they'll be moving back in with mum! However traders need to learn that systems do this. I beta tested a system that managed about 14 consecutive losers-people paid for it too

Trouble Choosing Between Futures and Options

futures are great except when you get the certain 10 consecutive losing trades- all directional trading is a punt and you will have a terrible losing streak-just the stats.

The Day Traders Are Back, Now Playing With Options

I have been trading options since 1999, and while I don't drive a Bugatti I do ok. I survived stupid drawdowns, and no longer trade that way. I love that idiots are trading their 1 lot. It's not possible in the UK, but I'd be happy if it was.(OK -aside from IB) Regulators in the UK know that most...

Can somebody explain to me how China is screwing us?

Many countries ignore licencing agreements- such as for film and music. Turkey I recall was one of the main perpetrators but you can probably include most of the middle east, Africa, Russia, well basically everywhere outside the EU and USA.The world is not a level playing field- even if you are...
