Which charting/data software take advantage of dual processor systems? I have read where Realtick does; but they don't seem to be as reliable as they used to be.
What about Esignal, IQfeed, Tradestation, etc?
What about Excel?
I don't hear many traders on the floor of the exchanges talk much about indicators and TA. They refer to reading the tape and reading the order flow much more often.
That's the hardest part.
You need good consistently profitable traders who are smart enough to trade well, but dumb enough to let someone else (trading room operator) have a big portion of the profits.
Bond Futures explode on the Philly Fed number.
Futures went from being around the lows of the day to making a new high for the day. Looks like a reversal day!
Anybody trading bonds?
Transition from being a 2 lot trader to a 3 or 4 lot trader is smoother than at first thought. Traded a couple of times yesterday with 4 lots. My comfort level grew the more profitable trades that were made. This transition is happening at the same time that my trading system is on a âhot...
Buy and hold qqq's long term and sell NQ short term. Whenever you buy (offset) NQ your net position is long qqq's. Suggestion is to pay full price for qqq position.

Excuse me ... but CQG and TT cost less than $1500 in most cases. The prop firm stands to make $500 to $1000 per month in desk fees in addition to marked up commission charges.
BTW, the prop firm still wants to keep 1/2 of your monthly profits. I'd say they could possibly do quite well.
I used that technique yesterday. Very good advice. Didn't keep an eye on the realtime p/l, which allowed my to concentrate on trade execution; thereby relieving a lot of stress.
I still have to perfect it though.
My self imposed margin per position is 20,000 because I like to hold positions overnight and my risk is 1% or $200, which is 4 points in ES.
I've been trading ES for over 3 years and off and on for 1.5 years.
