Couric Exhibit A For Liberal Media Bias

The basic question - "What newspapers/journals do you read regularly?" has NO bias in it at all. I can see that some are concerned about Gwen Ifill moderating the VP debate, and it is likely that anyone with a desire to see bias has already seen it without the debate even done. If...

Couric Exhibit A For Liberal Media Bias

Some of those questions are actually pretty banal except for the way they were answered. Usually someone who reads newspapers regularly might have a favorite columnist - that was where I thought Couric was leading to with her question. From a favored columnist you can infer that the person...

Couric Exhibit A For Liberal Media Bias

Wow - I just had a flashback to an old interview that Bobby Fischer did (I think it was shown in "The Great Chess Movie") where some guy asked him about his favorite books, expecting him to give some great literary names. After looking uncomfortable answering, Fischer finally said "I'm really...

Actually, nobody understands the complexity of God. If you did, you'd be...God.

http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1845209,00.html?cnn=yes "In fact, some versions of these instruments are imaginary derivatives. These claims overlap on the same types of mortgages. " Don't these things have to be unbundled first to see if there is any "there" there before...

    Markets Vs. Woman Leaders?

Wow - Pelosi has a lot more power over the Republicans than I thought! We might see Boehner in a studded leather collar and leash soon if this keeps up. What a crock - Republicans didn't want to vote for it (can't really blame them) but this nonsense that it's Pelosi is garbage.

What did Pelosi say to Piss Off the Repubs?

Who cares what Pelosi said - like the Republicans ever listen to her to begin with. This is about them not wanting to be voted out of office by irate constituents. It's one of the few times every few years they give a crap about what the folks back home think.

    Biden's in a bind

Both should just stick with the facts and what their opinion is on the facts. I'm more interested in who reaches logical conclusions based on well-structured arguments.

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

Can they do that? Switch her with someone like Romney right before the VP debate? That might make people happier with the VP pick, but not very happy with McCain, waffling on his judgment and throwing her to the wolves. He's certainly given her his full support and confidence up to now.
