Deep Discount Trading better than IB?

You can use IBController to stay logged on TWS all week. It is an open-source project that you can find by Google search.

    Natural Gas

Me too. Actually I am going to sell calls. The thing swings so wildly though that I will just get out once I get a decent profit. You could trade it from any side actually, it swings so much. One thing that could go wrong with that is if the Fed announces QE3 this week or G20 announces...

    Natural Gas

It is currently trading down 1.5% on the June 11 trading day. It is a very interesting commodity because it often trades in the opposite direction to other markets (everything else is up in celebration of the Spain bank bailout).

    Where to trade Korean futures?

If you look at http://www.deepdiscounttrading.com/ as a catalog, you could look at some of the major platforms that use their own routing to exchanges such as CTS, Trading Technologies, or Rithmic and maybe CQG. I see the exchange listed on the CQG site but do not know if those contracts are...

Canadian friendly Forex broker micro lots

It is illegal under British Columbia law for brokers to accept British Columbia clients unless they are approved in at least one Canadian province. So I doubt any will take your account. You can thank your provincial government.

Where to find short interest rates on IB statement?

They do not charge them per security. They charge them on your overall cash debit balance. Depending on your balances, you can short stocks with no charges . In general, it is impossible to apportion the charge to individual positions. I believe that other brokers would be the same.

Low margin for residents of BC Canada

An actual Ontario registration would be good across Canada. However an Ontario exemption from registration is not. Ontario exempts foreign brokers who do not solicit directly. This is not the same thing as an Ontario registration.

Low margin for residents of BC Canada

Ok I understand better now. Unfortunately the reason is probably that Ontario and Alberta have exemptions in their securities laws for foreign brokers provided they do not directly solicit their residents. Those exemptions have been there for a long time. It appears that BC does not have...

Low margin for residents of BC Canada

Correct. Every firm licensed in BC has to agree to apply BC leverage / margin rules to all BC clients as a condition of its license. You want a firm that is not licensed in BC. It may still be legal for it to accept BC clients provided it does not solicit there. However, it may be hard...

What happened with CL ? Big move down

It is the Iran settlement talks. These could fall apart at any moment and CL will rocket upward. I doubt it can fall too far meantime because the risk is there. Of course we also have the Euro fall and Chinese growth reduction as well.

TWS : Can't sudmit calendar spread orders

I do not know about the specific ones you mention, but for a number of spreads, you can actually submit them on IB for native exchange execution. Often you have to specify the exchange routing rather than use Smart Routing. I would suggest opening a help ticket to find out. I closed my...

    IB Auto-Liquidation (Hypothetical Senerio)

The exact scenario you describe will not happen, at least in options, because for deferred months, IB uses a proprietary pricing model that does not look at bid and ask (in the case of deferred months). I have found that the model itself can be flawed at times, though. but not in the way you...

    best futures broker

You could try PFG Best, http://www.deepdiscounttrading.com/ , and ETrade futures. I think the last one has a white-labeled XTrader. Also you can call TT and they may know. (corrected)

    any option sellers

In the past, IB did not quote or accept orders for many of the the exchange-defined and traded spreads like that so you had to go to other brokers or else leg in if you stayed with IB. However, they did start adding them recently. I do not know how far they have gotten recently since I...

For people who do not know, Cordier trades based on seasonals, fundamental analysis of each market, and overall macro analysis. He always has detailed opinions on all of the crop and other prospects etc.for W, C, S, SB, CT, KC, CL. NG etc. Also sentiment and implied volatility. He will...

By the way, besides Cordier's book, another excellent one is Stuart Johnston's http://www.amazon.com/Trading-Options-Win-Profitable-Strategies/dp/0471226858/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336588681&sr=8-1 It contains extensive statistical studies. Stu is speaking remotely to the Raleigh Traders...

    any option sellers

There is something else that people need to be aware of in trading futures options or spreads. Many/most brokers do not have real-time SPAN margin calculations. Instead, many use horribly rough approximations that may make your risk appear wildly higher or lower than it actually is. This...

No - all of them are available with a few exceptions. But IB has started charging $75 a month for ICE quotes. ICE is trying to make this charge stick but other brokers have not started charging it yet.

This is true but many still find it a good way to trade.
