Long here at 1439.25, small, close stop. EDIT: Out at breakeven. It's just not doing it. EDIT: Vertigo, at this rate we might just make 1432. EDIT: Actually, 1432 is no longer interesting. My target is 1412.50. You heard it here first, folks. ;)

Squeeze indicator suggests it's time for a breakout one way or the other. Consistency being the hobgoblin of small minds, I'm thinking it might be up. and considering getting long here. EDIT: Still going nowhere. Would have been a good day to scalp, I guess.

Short here from 1442. Taking a little heat here. This is either a double top or a bad trade. ;) EDIT: The latter: stopped out for -2.25. :(

Funny you should ask: I just tried to get short from 1440.50 on what looks to me like a bear flag breakout, but I didn't get filled. If it retraces, I'll get short, but I won't chase it. EDIT: Nope, sure looks like I missed it. My position trades in SDS (double-short Spooz) and QID...

Wrong...dammit!!! :) My stop was at 58.75, exactly where it should have been. And I got taken out (thank heavens). Weren't you saying something earlier about getting short from 71ish?

From my perspective, purely technical. All the charts look like Hiroshima.

Short from 1456.75, full position. This inflection point was 50% retracement of today's entire downmove. Hey Apex, don't let B1S2 off the hook so easily. I think he should buy dinner for all of us! :) We're long overdue for a ES Journal party.

Ouch. Just got stopped out of remaining short. Now flat.

Accidentally (!) closed 1/2 from 1454.25 out at 1451.75 for +2.5. Didn't mean to do that. A stop was messed up. Still short 1/2 position.

Closed 1/2 at 1450.25 for +4. EDIT: Added to short at 1450.00, now full position again.

Short again from 1454.25. (Sloppy entry, too early). 1455.75 was 61.8% fib retracement of the 1459.75 to 1449.50 move. so hopefully we resume down from there.

Short ETFs are the only way I can play the short side in my IRA, since it's inherently a non-margin account. (I can also buy puts, but I'm not as comfortable with options.) The two double-short ETFs track 200% of the inverse of the S&P and NASDAQ indices. I have a break-even stop on the SDS...

In addition to a large position in my IRA in SDS (double-short S&P 500 ETF), this morning I bought a large position in QID (double-short NASDAQ ETF).

Could also be a Wyckoff thrust reversal and have a false breakout above 1466 before taking a dump. Lotsa possibilities. EDIT: Stopped out at 66.50. This could be the Wyckoff head fake right here. EDIT: Short once again at 1464.25.
