What?? Expect to lose? You should expect to win consistently but also understand that losses are part of the game. Its impossible to avoid the hits sometimes. But know, that over time, you should be winning. Your trader expectations seem rather defeatist.

I agree, you should try whatever you think may work. All I am saying is if you want to take any sort of sizable position in a stock like APC, you will find two things: 1. There wont be enough shares to short once the stock looks safe without paying down quite a bit, making the trade riskier...

Your entry looks good, but you will not succeed in the long run playing SHO stocks like APC with a 4 cent stop. Nice trade though.

Patterns are so crucial in determining the viability of a trade. I dont know if I could trade as effectively without a good working knowledge of price patterns. (I am speaking only on an intraday basis.)
