Most computers have a small battery on the motherboard that powers the computer clock. That battery usually fails eventually, but should be pretty easy and inexpensive to replace. I suggest that first.
I have found that rates for cable TV and ISP are HIGHLY negotiable. If you're considering cable ISP, have a look at broadbandoffers.com.
Apparently bargains are not a one-time thing either. When your latest deal runs out, just call them and ask what deals they are running at that time, and...

Here are the IRS instructions:

Note on page D-3 that is says "Like an investor, a trader must report each sale of securities...". I used to...
A raw count of foreclosures is pretty meaningless. A better indicator would be the ratio of foreclosures to mortgages. But the real issue is how affordable houses are. I don't think that has gotten much better recently.
I tend to agree with BlueStreek. Unauthorized withdrawal is the most obvious -- and least likely -- threat to one's money. The worst threats are much more subtle, like entering unauthorized trades to pump a stock, or the holder of the funds skips town.
This seems like a good idea, so I checked the IB new features poll. Sure enough, this has been requested. Go to:

I have been using ACH withdrawals and have been pleased with the result. The money is transferred to my bank account and is available for use within two banking days.
I don't think there is any way to set up automatic transaction.
I have had FiOS (15 mbps) in suburban Portland since late September and have had no issues with it. We had a power outage for ~45 minutes, and the phone continued to work. FiOS uses existing phone wiring (not coaxial). The router has 4 wired and one wireless ports using standard rj45 jacks...
I think most investors would consider "Trader A" record preferable. Investors will start bailing at 5%, so I recommend de-leveraging even more. Try to keep max drawdown under 1%. Don't forget, your all-time biggest drawdown hasn't happened yet.
Also a 400% return on $20k typically doesn't...
