    IPO of Visa. Opinions?

Yes, exactly one of the positives for VISA. They are not in credit business, not lenders. They are processors of the transactions, and they do very well with DEBIT card part of their business.

    IPO of Visa. Opinions?

http://www.businesweek.com/investor/content/mar2008/pi2008037_667068.htm Here are some of the fears about VISA. Litigation about lawsuits involving unfair share of the market will cost money. How much we do not know although visa say they put 3 billion aside for that. Check out who is...

    IPO of Visa. Opinions?

Yes, the company is not riding on high leverage, has solid foundation, NOT A LENDER!, PLANS OF 1% dividend in first year of public offering, plans of future growth through careful aquisitions, and the lions share of debit card transactions which almost everyone uses. Anyone know how IPO'S...

    Help me pick a stock!

Yes this company is way off their 52 week high. A question Option Trader, how are they immune from the subprime mess?, also they finance construction and new housing developments, so where does that leave them as far as the slow growth? I am not challenging you, just looking for more details...

    IPO of Visa. Opinions?

No, no expectations of the kind of return mastercard got. But I do think the potential for a nice profit will be there. Good feedback Moneyball. Have to do some more homework on this one.

    IPO of Visa. Opinions?

I have read VISA will go public this month. Also it is the biggest IPO in the history of all IPO. Some say th PO will help infuse cash to other big banks too, and good for lending as a whole. I have never bought an IPO, so I am limited by my expierence.

    IPO of Visa. Opinions?

Thanks for reply Reaver. Yes, I have had the same skepticism as you about credit crisis and why would VISA do this now. There is the possibility that it will just raise cash for VISA to cover losses (how big or small??) in credit default, and be a loser for the shareholders. But I can't...

    IPO of Visa. Opinions?

Curious what others think about this future public offering. Considering mastercard went up 300% after its IPO in 2006. Financials are so risky right now, but this could be a good long term bet..long term meaning 2 or more years. Any opinions? Also consider some fundamentals for what its...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

T-dog, quinoa does have a leafy part that some eat as vegetabel as you say. But it is not commonly available like quinoa in the bag or box at the supermarket. The boxed quinoa is the seed of the plant. So yes, it could be considered a vegetable if you eat the leafy part. I have not seen...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

yes, I have had quinoa. It is a grain...and has the most amount of protein for any grain. I think its delicious! I cook in chicken stock than sautee with fresh garlic, chopped tomatoes and onion and salt and pepper to taste. Its similiar to cous cous in size and texture. It is smaller than...

Look what you did to real estate? Doing the same to market

Really day, listen to the logic. F Grimes made a logical point about forclosures on the market..that you are buying. If there was no subprime mess as you say, than the opportunity you exploit for froclosures would not be there. Yes? PS Waht is a bald egg? Are there hairy...

Look what you did to real estate? Doing the same to market

Ok day, you have made good moves buying forclosures. And just as you buy forclosures because regular houses are overpriced and risky with possibility of depreciating, so does the short seller do waht is best for him. He does not go permanantly long, but does short selling as the odds are for...
