    Where is Brent traded except for ICE?

    Brent on ICE has 75K for July, 55K for August. CL on the screen has 128K for July, 49K for August. Not really that much a difference in the grand scheme of things imo..

    IBKR opens @ 50 or so.

    Vonage opened on 5/24/06. I was able to short on 6/1/06 . See attached image. It was funny reading about these people bitching about how they couldn't short or how it was "impossible" . Impossible? Yes only if you don't try. I was with Scottrade at the time, but paying $7 and being able to short...

    wall street corruption at its finest

    http://www.gpoaccess.gov/911/pdf/fullreport.pdf 130. Highly publicized allegations of insider trading in advance of 9/11 generally rest on reports of unusual pre-9/11 trading activity in companies whose stock plummeted after the attacks. Some unusual trading did in fact occur, but each such...

    MBTrading, better than IB for the small retail trader?

    Go with IB. Like others said, complicated options are out of the question with MB. Software frequently disconnects, and quotes lag frequently. They also restart the server every night and balances/positions do not show up in the client properly because of this. MB CS is very good, but bad far...

    * * * From Pit trading to Electronic trading* * *

    I can imagine some don't do so well because they are forced to play by the rules. Obviously I don't know how rampant the practices are now adays, but if you read the book below it will remove most of the "wonder" as to how pit traders have an edge over retail...

    Cramer a real two-faced jerk?

    Read the book myself, very entertaining. While I obviously don't know how accurate the details in the book are, when comparing it with Cramer's diary of a Street Addict, I could definitely see him coming unglued about about every little thing. Seems like every chapter in Trading with the Enemy...

    S&P 500 Options

    Open interest in the SPX 1400 (Apr) strike dwarfs any open interest in SP. 166K of open interest (call side only). Multiplier on SPX is only 100 , SP is 250, so if you want to compare apples to apples, SPX open interest would be 66K if the multiplier was 250 (166,000/250) . 66K vs less than 20...

    I've been to the offices myself, they're real. :) I think the best things they offer are the software, and the web based trading platform. CS is also a step above the rest.
