I never bought a call...when did i say i bought a call ? i bought a put to protect my long position.. correct me if i am wrong. thats why i am here..

plus loss from the premium for the bought put... but better than stop loss slippage.. ( the idea of buying call is a good one also )... but i am doing totaly something else here

so then , if i am not able to exersise it when it is in the money, then how am i suppose to hedge the loosing long position ? reselling the option will not be as effective as exersising it remember, I went long @ 1.2220 I bought put @ 1.2200 next day it goes to 1.0000 loss of 2220...

i can only xersise it when it xpires .. or resell the option if it is green

riskarb : saxo is europian however. I have to rethink my strategy. i mean , if it is in-the-money, I want to exercise it, as oppose to simply reselling it. thats a must in my strategy. Plz help. American style, 24 hrs, futures ( or spot ), options trade. eur / usd or suro currency...

i called them, they do not have them yet. But, I am looking for 24 hrs options on futures. I guess i thought forex does offer 24 hrs on options also.. :(

what about saxo spot options ( not futures ). can i trade it 24 hrs ...realize that it is europian , but curios if it is 24 hrs ) to resell the option i guess as oppose to exersising it .

I want to trade euro currency futures options 24hrs a day. I know CME only opens 7-2 pm ... I dont get it, what If some one wants to exersise in-the-money option in the middle of the night when futures is trading ? what a bunch of bool##$$. It does not make sense ! what about...

I think the solution is to be allowed to sell naked options... but then yet sell covered options. then surung the time i am selling the long position to take profit... i will be naked ( which is ok ). but i am not putting down 2% ..since i will be covered...and i am not taking huge risk...

if i flatten it.. dont forget, i will loose money on the sold call.. to flatten i would have to buy back the sold option, eating up my profit from selling the long position !!! i have to sell the long position to profit since it went up .. but then the sold OPTION has to be naked...

I am not allowed. i am only allowed to sell covered options. ! and uppon unloading my long position , to take profit, I will now have naked position momentarily.... FYI: naked position has unlimited risk ..and 2% is too high as oppose to using 1:100 to go long with limited risk :)
