They make money by trading against clients since they have to hedge. Closing out clients in deficits makes for profit.

BP can go up 4 times your net Liq.(day time) an goes 2 times your net liq during night. BP can be influenced by outstanding payments while net liq and exc. liq can't. Thats the biggest difference I know.

I do totally agree. Most retailers do not recognize how awesome TWS is regarding features. It almost stands up to a 2 grand a month terminal for completely free. The only thing they see is how ugly and bitchy it is.
