as a fellow scalper, i find it interesting to see where other's entries and exits are. it's easy enough to place the "scalpers" on ignore, if you don't want to read their posts. personally, i'd never be able to scalp and post simultaneously (my head might explode)...

ES post frequency and wordcount analysis plotted against SPY

i'd just like to be the first to nominate this for "thread of the year". i think now we need to take it to the next level and start constructing charts with "volume" bars based on word and phrase phrequencies....

i'm glad i'm not the only one who thought the PA was shit today.... i got tossed around like a cheap sofabed at the top of a flagpole. felt like there were short squeezes where there shouldn'ta been and drops outa what should've been consolidation. i just couldn't get a bead on it. for...

thanks for the considered response. i kinda thought that's how you were using it; as a yardstick with discretion around the edges if you will.

i don't trade off the rule of ten (in fact i mostly trade NQ (don't tell the "off-topic" police :p )), but i am generally very impressed (and a bit surprised honestly) with the extent to which it provides an effective framework for negotiating short terms tops and bottoms - or continuations in...

Quote from Buy1Sell2: Actually , the more passes he throws, the more chances to throw a bad one. If he throws just a few and they are well placed and big gainers, they win also. By the way, I don't need ahigh percentage to be profitable. I just need the winners to be bigger than the...

yup, i thought the bulls might pack it in a little earlier than they did.... but then, the more the squeeze, the better to push it further and faster on the turn. :) and the better to shut out shorts who weren't pre-positioned (such as my slow ass who mostly got bashed around on that last...
