intraday position trader? I thought position traders held for weeks. How many trades a day for you Bitstream? and how many positions? (rough average) and you hold them for most of the day?

i should add-- one thing i have done which has helped a bit is to switch from mainly swingtrading to mainly daytrading-- and to take profits faster. seems to be that kind of market....

All of August has been a tight-range, low-volume crap market and i for one will not be sorry to see it go.... now let all the posters who trade 100k shares a day, running after a couple cents on each trade, and post their 5k a day blotters come and tell me what a piker i am and how i should be...

I think you're right in that the big money is in swing trading. However, if you look at p/l thread, and if you believe the blotters, there are some 5K + guys who do it by scalping, but i'd bet they are a rare rare breed and most successful scalpers fall in the 1k range.
