Truer words were never spoken. Yesterday shows that the market is still going to react the most to fedhead-speak. If appl does indeed guide up for next quarter the bears will be killed. IBM, YHOO, and TI have all reported well, and had some positive surprises in their press releases.

you forget: aapl reports today. just like it was "priced to perfection" last quarter, it's "sandbagged to perfection" right now.

you seem to be pretty hated around here. you do seem cocky, and like you're setting up for a fall, but i agree that last week was profit-taking. we are going higher, just wait until oil starts dropping.(yes, it will. the saudies don't want it this high - it will cause us dumb americans to...

news will trump any technical - i challange anyone to present a viable argument against that. merrill blew out the numbers this morning. i am looking for a rally today. (edit: i let the market interpert the news for me, i do my best to gague the headwinds...)

i need more convincing - i took today as a hangover from last week. sans Iran escalating nuke issues, earnings season will give the market direction.

there is some friction on the selling - some good things on sale. if i could, id be buying palm right here...

i am a rookie. that being said, one of the more bothersome things i've noticed in my minimal years trading is that there are never shortages of people that think the crash is right around the corner - same with the permabulls. a crash is unlikely - a rally is likely. free-markets are...

a 32 point hemorage on the s&p? unlikely. When you go out on a limb, make sure you look down first..... how about i call a 5-day target of 1310 on the s&p. :cool:

My Elite display has been hosed 2 days(in a row) of the past 16 months. That day they got me fills on my hung orders at 5:30.(NYSE) As an FYI - that means they pulled money out of their own pockets to get my fills afterhours.(marketmakers are out at 4) EDIT: comments on the other points...

1260? ummmm....... Take this for what it's worth, I have on trusted authority that there is a hard floor at 1275. The same authority says AAPL is sandbagging, so is GOOG. This week tech will do what it's good at, bear hunting... :cool:
