Holy grail, does exist, but here is why we don’t have it

I say that the aliens would quickly look the whole thing over and bust a gut with laughter. It's a major ponzi scheme that has sanctioning. They would probably recognize that we have little faith in many things and can quickly be made to panic or pull back. Personally I believe some...

USA basketball no longer tops in the world

Anything that requires sound fundamentals, discipline and regimented training won't draw the young audiences that the NBA believes is their audience. The real blood and guts viewers would return with a strong dose of following of the rules and excellence in execution. Duncan is not a good...

USA basketball no longer tops in the world

The NBA has been a joke for years. The team that they fielded for this competition couldn't play together for a year. Not enough ball for all the ego's. Having played in the semi-pro summer league for many years I feel a bit qualified to call some of these guys out. I played as recently as...

    "Why the World Hates America"

I don't overdiscount the concepts, but until the masses in other countries start improving their own standards of living, we will always be the problem. They need to industrialize their COUNTRIES and lift their own poverty levels. America will not remain stagnant for them to feel personal...

    Obese Americans

Ok, I agree. I am about 20 pounds too heavy myself. The funny piece is most of my associates consider me in fairly good shape. Especially when they hear my age (40 something). I generally joke that I am heading for my six pack days again, but right now I have a four pack and a space saver...

Poll: Do Chit Chat, Politics/Religion, and the like belong on ET?

Yes, both have a place on the site. There is more to life than just trading and I think that they are fine avenues for venting. No matter what your position. I vote they stay!!! :)

Don Bright/PairCo in Chicago - Free

I got to meet Don at Cactus. He's a real (and) nice guy. He spoke positively about you and shared a bit of the history that has him where he is today. I had a meeting to make and I didn't get to attend the event though. But I do plan to be in his neck of the woods in the next month or so. :)

Most powerful lobby in the US?

Interestingly enough the dairy industry is missing from the list there. The dairy lobbyists are rather a potent bunch too! :)

Don Bright/PairCo in Chicago - Free

My flight from Dallas gets in around noon. If it's an open invite, I'd love to chat with you prior to the 5p event. Maybe I could even make you the topic of one of my upcoming articles/interviews. :)

You guys crack me up. It'll be nice to finally meet you. Welcome to our fair city. Make sure you post where you're planning the pre-event event. By the way, does the event have a dress code? I can't find my cummerbund. :)

    DFW: Unrepresented Based On Population?

Chicago has several of those collar communities that you speak of. The largest of these is Gary which is less than 15 minutes away by the Skyway. Just south of the city limits are immediately, communities. Riverdale, Dolton, Harvey, Markham, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Olympia Fields...

    Arguments Against Flat or ConsumptionTax?

I don't think taxation is the real issue. I think the problem is that the politicians in their zeal to do everything, don't have the intention of understanding that there is no money to spend so they won't spend it. There is always some scheme using forward budget planning to justify...

1973 Ford Thunderbird. Black On Black with all the options. I even added a eight foot whip antenna and CB. To help the audio range I added a 200 watt mickey and a D104 mike. :)

    two CPU's?

You can forego the dual core option for now and save some bucks by going with a multiprocessor unit also. And you can get some excellent prices for the units on eBay. I've been doing this for the last five years (with mostly Dell units) for many of my computer clients. :)

Are we running out of water?

I think most of the issues that we are suffering from in the cites can be accounted for with understanding that they are either mature or suffering from poor future planning. Too many folks concentrated in one place, be it a city or state. For such a mobile people, we really are stagnant...

    Seeking a Developer

What language would you like the software done in? Have you determined what database you want this made around? Will you be capturing end of day data from this product for your tests from your stream provider or will you be using some other existing service(s) canned data? Are there any...
