No idea how it works at Bank of Montreal but RY Royal (if that's what you were referring too.) it is crazy expensive to convert CAD/USD or in aleast the way I was doing it. What happens is when I tried to buy a US security with CAD it converts it to US then when you sell it, it converts it back...

My assumption that the vol % in 10min is based on the previous vol % in 10 min was completely off but that's how the description seems to read. The problem is the description is hiding vital information on purpose. No idea what 400 is trading 4x normal more of what? The average X min interval...

I just felt like something was amiss cos I've been monitoring some stocks and the Vol% in 5min always seems to be above 1k which would mean the volume kept increasing by 10x or more every 5 min over a long period which doesn't seem to make sense

There is no declining volume percent my software isn't smart enough (or doesn't have the need.) to show something like that. 1k=1000% higher than volume from last 10min 1=1% volume from the last 10min. (That would mean volume decreased by 99%) I think that's how it works!

I am just wondering what this means on software. I've a pretty good idea what it means already but I wanna be sure about it. Example Volume % in 10 min is 1k. Does that mean the volume is 10X higher than the previous 10 minutes?

Perhaps limit orders would be more ideal with less volatility but when a stock is moving really fast it's hard to predict if your limit order will ever go thru. I rather lose a few cents on the spread than the chance of not getting filled.
