Yes, but I am trading low float stocks not something like forex where that 1% actually makes sense. If I put a stop loss at 1% on stocks 9/10 times it will probably just stop me out.

Turns out that formula is right. And the fee wasn't $564 that came from other fees. It was like $385. I am asking tradezero to see if they can waive some of this fee for someone ignorant but I doubt it. They probably just made this fee to cheat unexpected customers.

Yeah it's extortion. Beware of this broker. If you shorted 10,000 shares and held it overnight you might end up with fees in the hundreds of thousands.

The new breed of traders are Daytrading momentum millennials who trade small caps and usually they have very small accounts. They get hit much harder when it comes to emotional trading as there are so many more factors in that strategy that can lead to fomo, fear of losing, anger etc.

It really depends on your style and what your trading imo. The bigger the potential winner the harder and more important the exit. If your just in for a quick scalp then entry becomes more important.
