Ernie Chan claims that statistical arbitrage is better than momentum like trend

This is your problem man that you "think"....you should rather take up the data and "test" and "interpret" the results.....that will give you 10x more insight than random discussion here

bitcoin bubble getting out of control...surging non stop. up over $600 now

not a big deal. ....my first question was hypothetical in that it started with "if"....how much would you invest in bitcoins. What I meant from affirmative response was that lets assume you would have said you would put 3% of your networth in bitcoins, but you haven't taken a position yet -...

bitcoin bubble getting out of control...surging non stop. up over $600 now

m22au, If you have to take a position in bitcoins today, how much of your net worth will you invest? and for how long would you keep the trade? Your silver trade starting 10 years ago impressed me a lot, so maybe when you say bitcoins might be worth 100k or 1million, I am very interested to...

The BEST ES systems in the world

Yes, you are correct ES is the most efficient market out there. Extremely hard to trade. However, some folks on ET are smarter than Marty Schwartz

    successful intraday future pair trading

Don't wish to force you but thread will gather much more interest if you share something. Don't have to be strategy, just an equity curve with no mention of strategy or no equity curve but just overall general approach - you see what I mean. Its hard to discuss anything in vacuum. Btw, I did...

Swing Trading Global Markets - WILD Approach

I think so :) that this was the first time i posted late. but haven't really gone and checked it :) Btw, sure about getting out at breakeven. The market was around 1784 when I made that post. So, if you would like, you can deduct 4*4=16 points = 800 USD from my pnl :) But trust me, I had that...

unless the level gets breached, for ES I would say chance is 5%. My 98 cents

    Ninjatrader fills

Read this theard. will give you some perspective about the invisible size on ES. Expecting your limit order to get traded on ES without breaching the level is just highly improbable. http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=255417

    Ninjatrader fills

Your question is immaterial especially for ES. Look at the market depth, every level upto 10 levels will have 500-1000 contracts. So, you can place your order 7 ticks or 40 ticks away, at that level you are behind these 500-1000 displayed size.

    Ninjatrader fills

What you describe is absolutely impossible in live market on ES. ES typically will have 200 to 800 contracts on each size - this is displayed side, god knows if they have something not displayed as well. From my real trading, I have experienced that if I am sitting on bid and bidsize-asksize...

Finviz-Is it The best tool ever?

Other than layout, Lets talk about 2 specific features: screener and heatmap. I think both are fantastic and I wonder what other parameters would someone build if they want to build a better screener or heatmap. I think they are just perfect or maybe my statement is just showing my naivety...

Finviz-Is it The best tool ever?

To me, Finviz is kind of a dashboard. I am wondering if there is anything better out there out for stocks and markets analysis than Finviz? I like their layout, I like the heat-map, I like the screener, I like that its possible to see hundreds of stocks prices by just hovering over the mouse...
