Why FX charting platforms blow away everything else?

In this, and another thread, it sounds as though you have misunderstood eSignal's conditions for a 30 day free trial. Below is what's clearly stated on their site: [* If you cancel within the first 30 days of service, all fees will be refunded to you minus any taxes, applicable add-on service...

    Another eSignal Stealth Release

    >rxtrader From what I've heard the mentioned service pack should be released within a couple of weeks. I've never used Marketscope that you mentioned, but just from screenshots it looks like a toy compared to 11.6. But after SP1 comes out it would be best for you to take a 30 day free...

Looking for code that draws trend lines or linear regression lines (preferably in C#)

You might want to Goggle (image) 'automatic trend line' to see some results of what others have done. Seeing that, you might want to reconsider and draw the lines yourself. If you click on some of the images, it'll take you to where you can download the code. Hope you find something...

Only two trendlines have not been broken

You may want to research the fact, IMHO, that when prices have diverged far from a trend line, as with the one you drew from the Nov.& Dec. lows, that the line is of no real practical value in defining the trend.

What color candles do you prefer

I use bars, not candles. They are green on a black background. I use green because when I was a U.S. Marine sniper we were taught to stare at our green uniforms to rest our eyes before taking the shot. Seems to work with charts too, as I never get tired even after 12+ hours.

    HFT Myths

Please excuse my asking a few very basic questions about HFT, as it is fairly new here in Japan. Even though HFT was being used in Nikkei Futures during the current run that started in Novemer, it really wasn't that noticable in regards to volatility on the way up. However, during the last 7...

    tokyo exchanges via IB

Going in the opposite direction from Tokyo to the U.S. I don't know how many ms it is , but if you're not trying to compete with the HFT guys, there should be no problem. I'd guess .2 to .5 seconds max. to the U.S. from my experience.

Why is bloomberg so freaking fast?

Actually, to be fair, it's not just BB, but Reuters too. Seems the data they get from Japan is controlled from outside Japan. Andwhen TSE and OSE changed their computer systems a year and a half ago they didn't bother to adjust their programs to filter the rollover data. So it's mixed in with...

Why is bloomberg so freaking fast?

It's been going on for a year and a half!! And it wasn't fixed as of last week. As there is only one data feed sent out by TSE for futures, it should be worldwide. The local data vendors and brokers don't have this problem.

The BB guy on the phone couldn't believe it either and was at a loss for words!

Why is bloomberg so freaking fast?

Fast or not, BB's data is a question! I found that BB includes rollover data in its charts for JGB and Topix futures, and possibly (not confirmed) Nikkei futures too? Can you imagine that? With rollover prices and volume mixed in with normal trades on the charts it makes proper analysis...

Interactive forced account migration and consequent loss of account protection

Do you know if this is just for U.S. residents? Or would it apply to foreign residents who have an account with IB in the U.S. too? I can't find any information regarding what you've said on IB's site. Or did you receive this notice directly? Thank you
