How I saved $10,000, sorry Gurus

Sure you do. And I have a scorecard from Augusta National that "Proves" I made a hole-in-one twice in a week on the 12th hole. If you wanted to prove anything about your trading, Alex, you would have a long time ago, but instead you merely claim your greatness behind a microphone in your...

From anyone who you gave it to and now sells it to others. These privacy policies on most websites are just boilerplate jargon to make you think they won't sell it to e-mail address list marketing aggregators. No different, in fact worse than, catalogs in your USPS box after you make a...

    Trader's 911

Wonder why you always get stopped out? Taking scalps only to see trades move big in your favor? Can't get good fills? Pissed you're spending $hundreds/month for a guru chat? Taking all the bad trades while watching the good ones pass by? Don't fret, help is on the way, 24/7...

    Correlation between ES and S&P500

Good point. Because the action is very slow, one can make money using conventional TA indicators that fail during RTH. Trendline breaks on short term charts in particular seem to work well as I view that overnight action in hindsight. Good luck.

Simple S/R based intraday ES strategy -- comments?

If your palms don't drench your mouse with sweat, use an initial 5 point stop, but I'd still use ATR settings of 3,3,2. to trail the price action. And even using a 699 tick chart (my preference) you will see many, many decent winners (5+ points) get stopped into small loses, scratch or slight...

    Correlation between ES and S&P500

Unless there is a major economic/world news event after RTH, the ES is mostly traded by overseas speculators, especially at 3:00 am ET when the Europeans weigh in with their opinions. The volume is too light after hours to suggest that big hedgers are active. And during RTH, ES is...

    Good sources on Money Management?

You are confused. Money management will not turn your trading system into a consistently profitable one. The system must be consistently profitable and then a sound money management method can improve your return and help manage risk.

    Martingale system in Trading

Not true. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Nothing will change an absence of edge, not martingale, not anything, regardless of the length of time employed.

    Martingale system in Trading

No money management system will turn a losing trading method into a winning one. It's mathematically impossible. Focus on developing a trading method that has a positive expectancy and risk:reward after all associated trading costs, not on a money management scheme. Martingale or any of...

Is trading Gambling or not .."What say You" Vote here.

I vote for gambling, albeit reluctantly. It's all about expectancies and after commissions, datafeeds, computer costs and slippage, the expectancy is negative for the trader as it is for the casino gambler. That doesn't mean there won't be winners in the trading game, but we know what those...

    what's the deal with collective2?

I subscribed to a couple of systems that did well and the accounts were funded with $5k. I wouldn't pay more than $200/month for any system, however. The systems with the most appeal are those with a proven track record (over a year minimum) that trade infrequently having an average...

    what's the deal with collective2?

Probably can't autotrade it on C2, but if you subscribe to a few lousy systems (and there's no shortage on C2), and you can fade the trades after you get the signal from e-mail or text message or whatever. The more I think about this idea, the more I like it. In fact, given the terrible...
