How to know when your ready

Volent actually that is part of my strategy, as I have learned through sim trading and from my mentor trading multiple lots gives more flexibility. Surely not having to get all in or out at a given point can be a true advantage.

    Brent's Journey to success Journal

So I start this journal a year ago and it is really amazing how much you can learn in a year. Things certainly are better for me a year later. I am just about ready to start trading the dow mini. Only thing that is holding me back now is fulfilling prior commitments on my internship. I have...

    YM Traders Unite

wow Mark great post, yes it appears we have some real "old timers" here relatively speaking that appear to be anti "real time" if you know what i mean. Email is slow and cumbersome in todays fast moving markets. Chat or IM is the way to go, for those of you advocating email, its 2007 get with...

    Brent's Journey to success Journal

So my internship is going pretty well. I work for a very sucessful team. Its interesting because styles absolutely could not be further apart. My team uses the mutual fund model approach opposed to using individual stocks. Its an interesting business model that focuses on a niche client...

    YM Traders Unite

Guys now that this has been brought up lets try to organize some type of way for us to get in contact with each other. Lets be honest, using the forum can be slow and inconvienent, its 2007 and instant messaging or chat is clearly the best option. Not to knock pure tick but I do not want...

how big are your stops for YM and ES?

Dude let me put it into perspective, and note i am not live so i realize i have to discount and take everything with a grain of salt. I have had winners that were 100+ points, and my losers are typically no more than 10 points. a typical trade is risking 10 points to make 40. I am not active...

    e-mini Dow

5k and 5 contracts and your new. Im assuming you were actually being whole hearted and true with yoru question. Thats too much risk for someone that is new to the market. Your looking at $25 swings per point in the dow or .5% of your account PER POINT in the dow. That is just way too much...

Are there ANY futures prop firms?

I couldnt help but post on here about MBF and my little connection with it. Basically MBF is Mark Fishers company, he owns the largest clearing firm on the NYMEX. He trained an estimated 4000 people to use his ACD method to trade in the pits. My connection to MBF is a good friend of mine...

    Got the Internship, now what?

So I wanted to post an update as to my status. After 6 grueling months I finally managed to land an internship for the summer. As you can probably guess I was unable to get a trading related internship. What i did manage to land was a PWM internship with a very sucessful broker at one of the...

    e-mini simulations

I used open Ecry and since i was already aware that their limit order system was awful i only used market orders. My method is a little bit different, usually its only 1-3 trades a day for me at key zones. Looking to get 30+ points out of the on 10 points risk.
