    Timothy Sykes "Brutally Honest" Thread

Here's something brutally honest.... Some of you peoples obsession with Tim Sykes is starting to closely resemble the crazies that obsess over Jack Hershey. Is he that great that 80 threads need to be going on about him?? I think the answer is clearly no. That being said, he pays to be a...

this board is just for amusement

While I appreciate your candor, you make a pittance in the mkts to be claiming that what you do "beats trading for a living". Dont sit here for even one sec and claim that you would rather work some day job than trade for a living and bring home 6/7 figures. Please man, get real.

POLL: What is worst trading mistake you ever made?

Of course its possible, but cheerleading is unnecessary. Go about your business in a calm and professional manner, euphoria/ overload of emotions will make that "1 pt reality" just a pipe dream for you.

The 95% or so failure rate

How do you think that a firm is supposed to either dump or buy inventory easily? Them upgrading/downgrading is a perfect solution, even though they arent "supposed" to do stuff like that, you know they do.

    Learning to read Tape

watch the markets for many many months and jot down your observations. Then look back at charts to deduce what is happening. Over time, you'll develop an instinct for what is going on. There is no shortcut, no books that will truly help you. Its all about screentime and experience coupled...

    Trading fulltime retail with $50k

Dont listen to those that say "get a job and trade on the side" if your real passion is trading. If you want something bad enough, you will find ways to make it work (ala living at home with the "rents" for a while to save $$$). Everyone, myself included, had to learn the game over many many...

Averaging Down the real Holy Grail

Have you watched index futures trade intraday?? There are times where the market is hinting that prices are going higher even though they are trickling down. Ever noticed how the market will take 2 hours to move down 3 pts and then 20 minutes to move up 6? This is where avging in is huge. But...
