    Which broker to choose?

Guys, I need to choose some good broker. I'm going to trade stocks and stock options. I have about 3-5 trades a day with 3-5 lots each. Which broker would you advise based on your experience/ideas? I don't care too much about poor customer service (or I should?). Thanks

Hi! Is there any way to see in IB's statement which trade was profitable and which not? I can see only "Total" string. Thanks

    Confused with IB

What instruments are you trading? How long have you been with TOS? The other guy in this thread said it's hard to get a better fill than bid-ask. More generally, let me ask if TOS suits you? I'm planning to enter the market soon (I'm interested in stocks and options) and trying to find a good...

    Confused with IB

Well actually I'm really far from thinking that paper and reality are close. I was just asking if TOS acts the same in reality (like, as I understand, IB does). Now I know the answer is not and I'm disappointed a bit with that. Let's wait then the end of January.

    Confused with IB

Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear from practising person. So as to TOS paper fill and real fill are two big differences? PS Just wonder, as you trade in TOS. Why don't you choose IB? Commision rates are much lower. Or you like their soft (actually as I do)?

    Confused with IB

You're right, there's no reason. But the fact is. And I have no idea how they do it. I thought that bid and ask price are just minimum and maximum prices of different exchanges, it's a range. And usually you got filled inside of this range. Maybe I'm wrong. But still the fact is that they fill...

    Confused with IB

I've been papertrading in Thinkorswim for half a year and I almost always got filled at midprice. Are they cheating me? That's why i'm surprised with IB and asked here.

    Confused with IB

Today I've tried IB's TWS for the first time. I'm papertrading options. And was a bit confused with how options are getting filled with this broker. Let's say we have bid-ask 3.00-3.10. So when I created a limit buy order at price 3.10, I got filled at 3.10. In TOS you almost always get filled...

    IB: Update limit prices..

Thanks for the info. And how does market-to-limit order acts? What price is being used for this order? Consider this. Lets say I'm watching some stock. In order to get prepared I create an order. Let's say, "buy 1 contract at limit price", but don't send it. At that time the ask was lets...

    IB: Update limit prices..

Exactly. When I create an order, the price in this order remains the same and doesn't change automatically any time the price of the underlying changes. It's freezed. And when I want to transmit this I order, I need to update the price of the order (cause the price has already changed) by...
