Lescor - I know you keep great stats; have you ever checked to see if there was any discernable performance difference in "up" buys or "down" sells (on those stocks that allow it)?

50% Growth, How much P/E? 100% Growth How much P/E?

"Reasonable" is a pretty subjective term. Arguments can be made for ignoring PE altogether if you are a growth investor. PE's of 100 can be a bargain and PEs of 5 could be grossly overpriced.

I do that, in a way. I have my spreadsheet override the envelope and adjust my bids to ensure that I don't have any buys above the prior day's close. While I miss out on some opportunities that happen to work, I just prefer not to buy a stock opening up. And depending on the expected gap, I will...

I used .4 He had some news regarding FDA extending a review 3 months, which I didn't figure was too significant. Opened down only 15 cents but got creamed immediately for almost a dollar. Snapped back pretty quickly though and I only took a 16 cent hit.

    Top 10 hard-to-fill US jobs

Plus the crackdown on Trucker Bombs (milk jugs/Gatorade bottles filled with urine) thown out the window makes it inconvenient. It was pretty prevalent here in Ohio. A few maintenance workers mowing the grass in the median received golden showers when they hit the jugs with their lawnmowers...

3 shorts but two were small test positions. Scratch. Didn't get rewarded for letting a winner run. Regarding position size, I currently go from 100 shares for stocks I'm trying out to up to 3000 or so on veterans I'm pretty adept at trading, but I'll let performance and market conditions...

No fills. Blocked a bunch on news. In general, you want to use the closing price for your stocks, wherever you get it. But as a caveat, check to ensure that the closing price was not a big gap from where it was trading the last few minutes in the day.
