    A simple price action approach

I have a window at my home overlooking a beautiful private garden where I like to gaze from time to time while trading. The window came with a fitted screen as almost all residential windows. There are no insects of consequence in the area so the screen provides no security from unwanted...

    A simple price action approach

First to retest the recently established new low with alot of profit taking by the shorts, then back up through that new area of consolidation. So no trade (yet). Once the low has been retested then go long and likely this will be a good trade with a fat profit.. Low risk (stop can be tight)...

    A simple price action approach

PA tells the story. What helps me is to add fundamentals and then market psychology. For instance PA shows an uptend in 3 time frames. 3 minute, 15 minute and 60 minute, but then a gap up occurs in an area where people are likely to take profits IF PA shows an early failure, then the set-up...

    Poll: Sell in May 2011?

Proven true today. Now is the tough part. Retest highs. Range bound. Break support? I say sideways for awhile at which point the market will declare itself. What is evident is that there is a shift occurring. Commodity selloff. China braking its growth. Interest rates rising...

    Poll: Sell in May 2011?

Reuter's "Global Recovery Fears Hit Stocks..." The News always matches the move. This is confirmation that the selling is unfolding. That is to say the positions are in place now let the followers ride the momentum. We are sitting at critical support for a short term sell-off this am...

Predict where SPY will go in the next few months in this thread!!! Charts!!!!!!!

OK. Go short now. An indicator I have found very reliable for long-term trades on the ES went negative the last few days confirming both price action and a seasonal trend. Be aware there will be swings which test your resolve but you asked.....

    Poll: Sell in May 2011?

Weak bounce in the Spoos. The top is in for awhile (The gap up pre-open May 1st--"The Osama Top"). As momentum to the upside wanes sellers will emerge. The Bull is dying. Again I doubt "Flash Crash" but a challenging sideways market with a few spikes down.

    Poll: Sell in May 2011?

The week sheds more data. Indeed a bit panicky today as the herd moved to the exits quickly especially in the commodities. Last time this happened equities fell precipitously too. The fly in the ointment is of course that the Fed is a buyer. I would as stated not expect a crash in the...

    Poll: Sell in May 2011?

Fading the gap up on the 1st trading day of May was an easy sell. Now the million dollar question. Now what? I say an easy shallow sideways market with an eventual spike or two down over the next few months but nothing dramatic because the Fed is at work and elections are on the horizon.

    Poll: Sell in May 2011?

Very spiky spoos chart. Sell the news Osama. The run has been long and fruitful but now there's a pullback in the works. How low? Who knows. I'll have to take into consideration a number of factors but the sell-off will snowball as early sellers prime the money changing at hand.

    Veracity

Divergences everywhere. My leading indicator went negative today..... Reset button coming. Flash type crash again. Imprinting has occurred with regard to market participants. That's why the divergences are occurring. Up to the elections it was risk on. Now it's risk off.

    John Najarian fast money

The only real edge is inside info. That can be generated in several ways legal and illegal. As an officer or company rep with knowledge which will affect stock price trading on that info is illegal. For a carnival barker it is buyer beware. Of course a good Ponzi trumps a carnival barker...

microsoft trying hard once again to gain market share in the smartphone race!

msft should buy nokia right now with nokia in the dust and msft with piles of cash. They could do a leveraged buyout at ridiculously low prices as debt is CHEAP. They would own the worlwide market and then they could come back and fight the domestic war and win. In that way they could have...
