The OEX's are too big in size for me, so I like the Q's more. However, they aren't as sychronized to the Dow as the DJX's or options on the DIA's. But Dow options have a wider spread. So I start to pull my hair out trying to figure out how much that wider spread is worth.

The way the DJIA is quoted, the "open" is yesterday's closes plus the very first trade of today. This means Dow data rarely gaps on the open, but of course this is misleading. In a few seconds, all opeing trades for all 30 Dow stocks have occurred and the Dow moves to it's real opening price...

I have an old Dell XPS D333. It's a PII machine with an Intel 440 LX motherboard running XP Pro. However it has the latest Intel P14 BIOS. (I slammed it in there by using a hex editor to change the indentifying header on the BIOS files from Intel (I belive "86A") to Dell (I believe "10A").)...

That also has to do with the fact that 2000 takes up more memory than 98 and the P4 has a longer instruction pipe line than the P3. So increasing you system specs by a moderate amount will in some cases will do little more than just bring you even.
