No its more a strategy for the ER. ES is much easier to time. The Er can move 2 points when the ES moves a tick at those violent turning points. Equally the pullbacks are much more violent giving you a good discount to add. Some times I just need to commit. take a loss and look for re-entry.

Exactly right. It also makes adding to a winner much more easy. The ER can jump so fast that you have to trade this way at times.

I anticipated a down day after the options expiry week. This had me under water early....I had a good profitable trade at the end of the day that I sold early to cover my loss and commissions. piss weak.

My profitability only increased once I scaled in on some trades. It works with the way I trade and my own psychology. (some setups a hard stop is in place) If I followed conventional ET wisdom I would not make anything.

Had a good position and the DSL crapped out on me had to liquidate. Then after that I just could not get it together. :( The best trading for me starts when I risk house money. Weeks been OK, get to eat another day. Hmmm shrimp and swordfish on the barbie. :D

Traded much better today, only 8 trades, still took profits way to early. Yesterday is included, quit after the first trade as i just couldn't concentrate, so had to sideline myself.

I think it needs some sizable changes to the index, like when GOOG was added or the Russell 2000 rebaancing in June 30.

Rebalancing can cause a move down, from now to close with an equal bounce at 1600 although it may start slightly earlier. Will be interesting to watch if there is any movement.

There is a rebalance of the S&P 500. How volatile will it be?
