What's a good strategy for locking in gains?

Try this: on Daily TF - after EVERY 5 consecutive closes BELOW EMA10 close 1/5 of your position (you might see 10 in a row, so at the 10th you'll be 2/5ths off). If close above EMA10 - reset the count. At 5 consecutive closes ABOVE EMA10, if your original position is in PROFIT - double it; if...

    Anything Good for Stock Trading?

No. I mean, for their evaluation process before they fund you, you need to reach a specific profit target AND minimum 200 trades, but no time limit. For exmpl.: If you do 10 trades per month with very high R/R, you can reach the profit target within a month and than trade demo for 19 more months...

    Anything Good for Stock Trading?

I have the same case. Check out Trader2B, they offer plenty of stocks, just make sure your strategy generates good amount of trades per month, as their evaluation process needs at least 200 trades on demo before you can go live & funded.

    Shall we play a game?

Posted an approximate number for Monday. I'm in for quite higher number and quite beyond Monday, but ready to change my mind any time, dependent on PA. I don't even trade sp500, but NQ instead. Being right in only the direction (up/down) is an art in itself, let alone the right number...

Need some input on strucuturing a short trade.

Please caroy, can you envision a situation when buying outright puts/call would be the most viable strategy against all other combinations? I'll appreciate it, thanks.

Anybody interested in NQ futures road-map?

Good evening, Akhaldanos here. A few days ago I started a Private Thread, where I post my personal trading road-map for NQ, which I use to trade from. The road-map is based on advanced Wave Analysis. Anybody interested in that stuff - please show up and I'll sneak you in. Three time frames -...

reliability of FTMO Server via cTrader

Yes, I experienced the same Friday an hour earlier close on NQ than the regular session, unfortunately I was short, and planning to go flat into the close, but... nope. One question though: FTMO states that if at the end of the Challenge you are short of their target, but positive anyway, and...

How to control ourself when we lose money?

Trading is not about avoiding losses at all costs. It is about realising profits. Incurring a loss might not be a mistake. So, why you made a loss? Probably you've exited from a trade that wasn't working. Was that a mistake? Should we avoid that "mistake" in the future?

    Trading psychology resources

@orbit23: In fact, what you've described in your example is the sole reason why I prefer 100% rule-based systematic trading over discretionary; it is quantifiable and executable, just enter on a signal no matter what and... true, many of the entries and exits are painful, but it's worth it...
