What are the most volatile futures markets?

Yeah, I think historically natural gas is more volatile than crude. They are both on par but natty is more crazy usually than crude, past few months excluded.

Alternative Fuels May Be Postponed.... Again????

Unless they could shoot it straight into a star and destroy it, that pile of radioactive mess could come back to haunt us at some distant point down the road. Also, remember we have not exactly mastered the art of space travel. Remember the shuttle blowup in 2003? Imagine if it had a load of...

Alternative Fuels May Be Postponed.... Again????

Yeah, except that objects in space sometimes fall back to Earth. I don't think that a man-made radioactive meteorite would be a very good thing. Not to mention the cost of that. They are going to have to find a safe way of recycling/reusing the waste in some form. I don't think that storage or...

    "Absolute Return CD" wtf

Sounds like something a casino would dream up. I'm sure it is better for the bank than the customer.

    First Oil Manipulation Charges Set

It is a minor manipulation at best. Even still, I think they were manipulating it down more than up. I agree with an earlier poster that this is the CFTC basically saying screw you to Congress who is trying to pin the blame on speculators.

    Pictures of your trading stations

No, that's definitely not Photoshopped. There are tons of pictures of people doing all sorts of unspeakable things to that poor bull :).

Congress Pursues $80 Oil With Trading Limits, Disclosure Rules : from Bloomberg

Hey, give Larry Craig and a couple of other Republican senators some credit...they voted against the oil speculation bill and it is tabled for now. He has managed to make himself useful between bathroom visits. I don't agree with the reasons that they voted against it but I'm all for grid-lock...

Alternative Fuels May Be Postponed.... Again????

I agree nuclear should be looked at but I'm not sold on natural gas as a long-term fix for vehicles. Using a finite resource to power vehicles will just get us into the same trouble we are in now just a little further down the road. The middle east also has tons of reserves of natural gas too...

Alternative Fuels May Be Postponed.... Again????

We have become a society of pigs in a trough when it comes to our dependence on oil (no offense meant towards pigs). We would sooner plunder the Arctic Circle for oil (after the ice cap melts away) for a short-term "fix" than really start to solve this crisis through better technology. Amazing...

Only 1 Futures Daytrade per day: $200-$1,000 profit goal per day

How are you deciding to take profits? It seems you are consistently coming up short on your profit goals. Do you have any set criteria on when to exit a profitable trade or is it more a matter of not wanting to lose money if a profitable trades starts to turn on you? You might consider putting...

    McCain's Rapidly Closing Window

That's some pretty sloppy Photoshop work there. I love a good parody but it should at least be well done. I like the logo in the corner but the rest is pretty bad.

Security Guard Confirms Late-Night Encounter Between Former Sen. John Edwards, Tabloi

I knew this story was true back in Dec 2007 when Enquirer reported she was living in a gated community in NC and his friend was taking the fall for the baby, even though she was seen having dinner at said friend's house along with said friend's wife. It really does suck for his wife and her...

Here's an advance cover of next month's Vanity Fair. It's only a parody, right?

Astronaut admits aliens visited earth & UFO's are real.

There was also an interesting segment on Larry King Live that had some ex military workers talking about aliens disabling and scoping out nuclear sites around the world. http://www.nhne.org/news/NewsArticlesArchive/tabid/400/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/4790/Default.aspx Seems like...

CFTC Makes an Example Out of the Little Guy (Optiver) - Oil Manipulation Charges

Nah, just get ready to trade crude denominated in Euros instead of dollars once the trade moves overseas.

Former Governor NOT Voting For President in '08!

Yes, it is actually. We all have a choice to make. But Ventura is using his appearances more to make $$$ than anything else. Nothing wrong with that but he is definitely in it for the attention and the buck.

Former Governor NOT Voting For President in '08!

I don't blame him but I think the whole thing about him running for Senate was a ruse to sell more books and get on the TV circuit. I never thought he was serious about it. He said awhile ago that he was done with public life and had it with the U.S. govt. Who would want to be a senator and live...

CFTC Makes an Example Out of the Little Guy (Optiver) - Oil Manipulation Charges

The masses need a scapegoat. Looks like the small speculator is it right now. I am starting to be careful who I tell that I am a trader. The last few conversations have gone something like: Hi, what do you do for a living? A: I am an independent futures trader. Ah, so you are one of the...

    Short-term trading with Oscar

I was on his site a few days ago and saw this picture at the bottom of it. There was no caption so you can come up with one on your own. Wonder why he took it down??? At least when I go through losing streaks I don't have to pay someone else for the privilege.
