Yeah, Google's adsense has a tracking feature that "targets" ads to your browsing patterns. You can turn it off if you have an account. I started seeing MetaStock and other trading specific ads showing on non-trading websites which I thought was rather strange and did a little investigating on this.

Can't you just edit your data manually and remove the spike? That's what I did... it is better than waiting if you rely on it for intraday trading... if you can't do this then you might want to investigate other charting solutions... this kind of thing is more of a regular occurrence than not...
