I read a low of -548 there. They are close it would seem, but definitely not exactly the same.

LF, This is one of the issues I've had with the TICK, in that I've read reports that TOS TICK will be off from other data feeds. Did you have a close below -600 on your TICK today? So far I haven't seen one on TOS. I'm very curious about this.

It's only bullish for me :) Extreme readings are signs of strength to me, not a fading opportunity. Here we gooooooo!

LF, Yes you are right the TICK is trending downward, but we were up against a 50% pullback and I thought it would be worth the risk. If this downward trendline on the TICK breaks, I will reenter. My bias is long as long as the TICK doesn't close below -600.

Well for me, I've noticed that on really clean, one direction trends, the market will usually trade in a series of 50% pullbacks. I'm not claiming any Fib voodoo, it's just an observation and it is NOT foolproof. However, If I'm looking for a place to get in, I will oftentimes for look a 50%...

FWIW, I have always had better luck by never fading the TICK ever. If we make a new high TICK that breaks the current TICK trendline, I am always looking for a pullback to buy (in this instance). Especially if we are making new highs for the day or something along those lines. EDIT: Example.

Interesting, do you always have a hard time dealing with a trade like then when it's in the green? I usually have a pretty solid lump in my throat until I get my stop to b/e, and then I calm down almost instantly.
