Based off of what I'm seeing, if we do clear this level and move higher, the TICK will close above 600 and not pullback. For instance, we will either just clear or consolidate at the high, and at that time the TICK will close up above +600. Normally in the mornings, I will wait for a 50%...

To show an example from the other side of the coin, here is the TICK and the price chart for that big selloff day that we had earlier in the week. Notice that the TICK only kisses above 600 once the whole day, and then finally again when price actually reversed just before the close. These...

That's exactly right. The TICK can give -600 a kiss, but unless it closes below -600 (on a 1 min chart) I stay bullish. Like anything there are exceptions and nuances, but that rule alone keeps me safer than any other rule I have. :D

Ammo, Bullish all the way for now. The hard line in the sand is -600 on the TICK. Divergence on the TICK (where TICK goes lower and price consolidates) only adds fuel to the bullish fire. There are instances where the market will sell off without the TICK closing below -600, but only if we...

No bearish setups in my eyes at the moment. TICKs above 600 Bullish TL on the TICK still happy I have a target above at 70's or so.

It looks rangy to me man, be careful on reversing your position. The last thing you want to do is count on a trend and sell support and buy resistance!

Same here. It's the only reason I have down days typically. Usually it's chasing just to get in if I've missed a typical entry, or trying to fight boredom near the lunch hour or the afternoon session in general.

I have noticed that as well, although I'm guilty of not posting as much also. I've been focused on other things lately, so sometimes I only SIM, or I will take one trade and then turn the platform off after 20 minutes.

I'm not so sure, with higher highs and higher lows into the close.

Shape doesn't read right to me. I'd either get filled and killed, or no chance at a fill at all. Gonna sit tight.

I need just a little bit more upward movement, and then I'll be setting a limit order for 50.75's to buy.

Which is what I figured anyway. So in that case, I will have to keep wasting my time with my other project, since it involves the methods and the tools that I am familiar with.

You know just as well as I do that it is not that simple. It's true that the market finds it's way to your fib numbers quite often. However, there are also days that they are never touched, or days where it makes a move towards one of your numbers, and then reverses and comes right back to the...

Thanks for the heads up. I have gone through Steenbarger's blog (per Josh's request earlier), but I haven't really digested the whole thing. I am plotting conditions in excel and categorizing screenshots based off of morning behavior: 1. Did the market gap up / flat / gap down? 2...
