oK I guess the proper answer to your dilemma is no. you're screwed. If you can't get fios or cable, there are really no other alternatives to accessing the signal. Even a microwave dish has a delay of signal due to transmission and processing. Time Warner has a service called business link...

    Genesis Trading Groups

The software fees are no set in stone for groups as they make up for it on the anticipated commissions (or it's charged then rebated if certain volume marks are hit).

Subscribe to DJ News or Reuters or Bloomberg instead. Their "Breaking News" is what they are reading off these news feeds anyway. By the time the article is flagged, disseminated, rewritten so the talking heads don't screw it up, you could have read it yourself and already made your decision...

Check out this Prop Firm (w/ Picture), Avatar. Thoughts?

Avatar Trading is a NYc prop firm. The pics are of their W24th St loft/office. Avatar, like quite a few other "props" troll the various CL city sites looking to pick up remote traders. A good deal of most prop's business is done thru the remote trader so that is why they post there. All they are...

    FXClearing.com vs MBTrading.com ?

No matter how much you educate there are still people who will insist on using a dealing desk instead of an ECN. My wall has too many dents in it from me trying to explain the benefits of ECNs but alas, there are still those saying "I don't want to pay a commission". At least take the best one...

    USD situation getting serious

I think if anything thing, it will get the players to stop and take a breath. Not really looking to push the rock back up the hill, just want to impede it's roll down said hill. btW, if there is CB intervention, it won't be just the US, but Europe and GB as well.

    USD situation getting serious

Since we haven't seen one in a while, and since Bernanke was so eager to pump 41B in liquidity in the markets for mortgages because Jesse asked him to, when do you think there will be a central bank intervention to prop this dollar? You could say that the WH wants the dollar to depreciate...

    FXClearing.com vs MBTrading.com ?

Concerning MBT's spreads, floow this example: you buy a 100k lot of GBPUSD. The dollar value of this trade is 208,000. (100k * 2.08(roughly the current price)). If they charge $5 per $100k, then your commission to enter this trade is 10.60 => 5/$100,000 = x/$208,000 where x=10.6. Your cost...

Oanda Pluses: -large capital base - recent 100MM USD capital infusion from venture capitalists: less likely of a refco situation - Refco was one of the largest FCM's in America and they went bankrupt. The retail fx player got screwed and after about 2 yrs of litigation received somewhere in...

    FXClearing.com vs MBTrading.com ?

Just so you understand something, it is not 5/100k unit lots, but $5/$100k in notional trade volume. If you do a 100k unit GBPUSD trade, the cost per side is currently $10.60 (5 * 2.08). The only retail ECN that I am aware of which charges commission based on units not dollars is hotspotfxr.

Don't know anything about your Canadian based firm. Looking at their page, they are just another dealing desk/market maker firm. They don't take US customers since they are not registered with the NFA (hey, at least they are honest!) I did notice that unlike some of their rivals, in...

fxclearing.com has a temporary GoDaddy web page? I think that sums up what there is to know about that firm. As to EFx, they are an IB of MB Trading. They charge commission per trade and list themselves as an ECN for currency trading. Overall costs can be higher than trading with a more...
